*Mid-Level Java Developer * *4 month contract* *McLean, VA* JOB DESCRIPTION: Developer will provide Java development and design. Responsibilities include both front-end and back-end detailed design, development, and unit testing of all code developed. Additional responsibilities include documenting code developed and fixing bugs in the development of the various applications. Mid-level developer will work independently on development tasks and perform detailed design with oversight. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience or 11 years experience in lieu of degree. REQUIRED SKILLS: POJO and J2EE component development as well as EJB, Servlets, JSP Java frameworks. JSP Java frameworks: preferred ones are Struts, Tapestry, JSF, Spring. Knowledge of ORM tools such as Hibernate or iBatis. Java-based development and configuration management: preferred ones are Eclipse; JDeveloper, Ant, JUnit, Rational, Subversion. Operating systems: Linux. Working knowledge of industry standard development practices and concepts: preferred ones are SOA, UML, MVC. Development experience in Oracle. DESIRED SKILLS: Experience implementing BPM and ESB products. Experience with Portal products.
