Duration: 3 Months Contract to hire Rate: Open- all incl Description: Our client is currently looking for a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Thousand Oaks, CA. * * *Duties and Responsibilities: * - The Quality Assurance Engineer 4 is responsible to work closely with software teams to refine software requirements and develop test plans and test cases. - Regularly develop and maintain automated scripts. - Provide leadership, guidance and direction on software Quality activities throughout the SDLC process. - Review requirement documentation for accuracy, completeness, and testability - Provide time and resource estimates for QA activities - Create test plans, test cases - Lead different kinds of testing: data, functional, stress, performance - Be comfortable handling large data sets - Experience testing with databases - Provide automated testing using Quick Test Professional (QTP) - Actively participate in project reviews from a quality point-of-view - Provide mentoring and training to junior software quality engineers - Perform load/stress/performance testing with LoadRunner or other Load Testing tools - Facilitate, drive, coordinate, and manage User Acceptance testing - Make recommendations to improve upon the QA processes as needed - Create defect reports - Ensure the QA team adopts required tools and adheres to the agreed processes around this area - Ensure the QA team stays on track with the project plan and is effective in raising risks, issues, and ambiguous test results to project management, business analysts, and trainers in a timely manner - Be team focused, self-motivating and passionate for innovation and high quality work * * *Education, Skills and Experience: * - Bachelors Degree preferably in Computer Science or equivalent experience - 6+ years as a Quality Engineer - Experience in Web Application testing - LoadRunner or similar load testing experience - QTP or similar automation experience - Experience with Siebel or similar Customer Relationship Management products is a plus - Software/Test experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle - Practices using an established QA methodology (SEI, IEEE, etc.).
