Effectively articulate how database systems and structures can be used to help solve our customer's problems. Implement Cargill's policies as they apply in the database environment. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation when onboarding training is complete. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent. 5+ years of IT experience. 4+ years of database administrator experience. Excellent problem solving and risk assessment skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong understanding of ways in which new technology can be applied to existing infrastructure. Solid understanding of Unix (or Linux) and how it interacts with a database system. Experience with Sybase database systems.
