Date resource is required: 04/07/2011 Anticipated end date: 12/31/2011 Location: San Jose, CA Job Classification: Systems QA Analyst Position Description: Experience Level: Bachelor's degree plus 5-7 years Responsible for handling the most complex quality assurance and test environment problems and issues for Internet Services Development group. Acts as a lead in the creation, preparation, and conduct of quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of test plans and test scripts for ISD. Works with client to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve questions during the testing process for ISD. May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project. Analyzes, test, and certifies application-specific software and performs ambiguity reviews of business requirements and functional specification documents. Uses advanced knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems for ISD. Researches new products and industry methodologies and facilitates the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software! and specification defects. Documents all phases of QA process for ISD. The position is experienced and is considered a QA Analyst The person will work with a small dev team and will be responsible for individual project work as a contributor. This person must be a leader and a ditch digger. Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years of QA experience, SUPERIOR communication skills, ability to work with little management direction (but must be able to adhere to specific guidance I do provide), experience working with Agile, able to work with a small very close knit team, flexible work schedule (OT, off hour and weekend work may sometimes be required), have superior analysis skills and finally.. CHARISMA! From a technical perspective the candidate should have experience with desktop applications, browser applications, mobile applications and middleware services.
