What sort of libraries are these? Public libraries? I've worked in academic
libraries and special libraries and we always had just 1 circulation desk per
library branch, which had all the waiting reserves for that branch behind it. 

I don't think that I've even used a library (in Canada or Australia) that has
had multiple circulation desks? 

Not that I'm being negative. I'm really intrigued! Very different to my
experience, so it's interesting to learn about different setups.
