--- Comment #6 from Gretchen Maxeiner <[email protected]> ---
Everything here works correctly and is usable. The changes are more visible in
the Z39.50 search screens due to the move of the labels above rather than in
front of the text boxes. We use Z39.50 heavily so I gave some thought on the
implications.

For the cataloging Z39.50 search, one now has to scroll to reach the 2nd half
of the the search options. That could frustrate some users, but on the flipside
the most heavily used boxes are at the top and some of these searches benefit
from having the now-wider text box. One can tab through the boxes instead of
scrolling, and the search and cancel buttons are visible at all times, so I
think this change is okay. I think most users use the same search box (ISBN,
ISBN, or a combo of author/title) for 95% of their searches.

For the authorities Z39.50 search, all search options are visible on the
screen, but I admit I find it harder to quickly spot the box I want without the
labels in front. I use this page dozens of times each day, bouncing around the
different search options since these point to different types of records (not
paths to the same records, like with the cataloging search). But again,
everything works.

Within the authorities Z39.50 search page, would it fit within this bug to
rename the "Subject sub-division: " search as "Subject subdivision:"? The
hyphen is not typical; see for example this Library of Congress page on MARC21
authority fields: https://www.loc.gov/marc/authority/adx00x85.html.
