I think the proper word to describe my word "transactions" with is circulations 
(pardon my somewhat Norwegian-English use of terms). 

We need to generate loans and submissions, and preferably also some other 
status changes (fex lost, not in place, ordered, reminder sent). 

We have some pretty heavy requirements as to generating statistics. In order to 
calm the ones working with this, we need to be able to do a convincing demo :)

How did you transfer your circulation history? I guess the crucial part is to 
get it from your current ILS-vendor?

I'm not sure what you mean by transactions but we transferred our
circulation histories and a little bit of our cataloging history
(bibliographic/item created/modified by whom date).
