Pak 'Child Camel Jockey' fell off from camel in UAE:


DUBAI, Sept. 15:   The Five year�s old Pakistani 'Child Camel Jockey' boy 
fell off from camel and got serious head injuries in Al-Ain, UAE.

Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International said that Mohammad Kaleem (5) son 
of Mohammad Hussain, fell off from camel during camel race training in Ail 
Ain, UAE on Wednesday morning (15th September 2004), and camel ran away over 
his body. Kaleem got serious head injuries as well other body injuries.

The Volunteers of the Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International in UAE after 
having come to know about the incident immediately visited the sad camel 
race track and sent the boy to hospital where boy was admitted in a critical 
manner.

In UAE the Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International�s volunteers complained 
that the influential camel camp owner, with the help of Al-Ain police, to 
hide the incident, now trying to take out the boy from the hospital.

The Chairman of the Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International, Prisoners Aid 
Society and Bureau of Missing and Kidnapped Children/Persons, Ansar Burney, 
Advocate after having come to know that the influential owner of the camel 
camp trying to take away the seriously injured boy from the hospital, 
immediately contacted Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Pakistan Consulate in 
Dubai and American Embassy at Abu Dhabi and requested them to help Ansar 
Burney Welfare Trust International in saving the life of an innocent boy.

Ansar Burney, Advocate said that he is grateful to the Pakistan Embassy and 
Consulate General as well as the American Embassy people for their kind 
cooperation in this regard. He said the officials of the Pakistan Embassy 
also visited the hospital to enquire the health of the boy who is at present 
in the Intensive care unit, where doctors are trying to save his life. The 
volunteers of the Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International also visited the 
hospital.

Ansar Burney said that on Wednesday morning i.e. 15th of September 04, 
another five years old boy Kaleem (5) son of Mohammad Hussain, fell off from 
camel, in Al-Ain child camel jockey camp and his condition is very critical.

Father of the boy when went to the police station in Al-Ain, to lodge the 
report, police refused and threaten him that they will put him behind the 
bar if he will come again to lodge report against owner of the camel camp.

Burney said last week, two boys fell off in Abu Dhabi and lost their lives 
as Camels ran away from their body.

He urged the authorities to stop such inhuman practice in the greater 
interest of humanity and human rights.

Mr Burney's Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International (ABWTI) has 
successfully traced out more than 100,000 children from the world over 
through its 'Bureau of Missing and Kidnapped Children/Persons' and has 
delivered them safely to their families.
