Today is the day after the elections, and right now the Pentagon is gearing up for a massive, horrifying assault on Fallujah and more than 20 other cities in Iraq, in an attempt to crush the Iraqi resistance. This means more bombing of residential neighborhoods, more civilian deaths, as if 100,000 were not enough. At home, the Bush administration is already gearing up to gut remaining social programs, grant even bigger tax-giveaways to corporations, and shred what remains of the Bill of Rights. So, today we have begun to gear up for a new phase of resistance to the Bush Administration's agenda of endless war, domestic repression and racism. Earlier this evening, many people turned out at a demonstration we called to serve notice on the Bush regime that the opposition is out here, strong and sure, demanding--BRING THE TROOPS HOME NOW! End the occupations! Money for jobs, health insurance, education, not war! We can't take four more years of racism, poverty and war. We can't stay home and watch. In conjunction with other local groups, we are calling for an emergency demonstration on the first Saturday following the start of the murderous assault on Fallujah.
