It has been a year since the "Day of Infamy" on which the NATO alliance
began
the bombing campaign against the people of Serbia. The Serbian
community of
Vancouver, together with communities all over the world, has organized a
Demonstration/ Memorial of this tragedy:

Candlelight Vigil for the people killed during and
after the bombing
This was not an isolated initiative. It is important to recognize what
is
happening and to stand together to voice our opposition. Chile,
Nicaragua,
El Salvador, Panama, Iraq, Yugoslavia, .....who is next? Let us stand
in
solidarity with the people of any country who wish to live in freedom
and to
determine their destiny.
The illegal aggression of last year is wrong, wrong, wrong and can never
be
right. This we cannot afford to forget lest it become the only way of
our
world.
