Russian President Vladimir Putin wished the Yugoslav nation a success in the preservation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of FR Yugoslavia, economic recovery and the performance of democratic, social tasks. He said he was confident that further promotion of ties between Russia and Yugoslavia would contribute to the strengthening of peace and stability in the Balkans and Europe. Indian President Narayanan said in his message he believed that bilateral relations between India and Yugoslavia would be reinforced to the mutual benefit. The Republic of Belarus supports Yugoslavia's efforts in the restoration of its full-fledged membership of international organizations, a message by President Alexander Lukashenko said.
