Chinese FM Awarded Friendship Order
Vietnamese Ambassador to China Bui Hong Phuc, on behalf of President Tran
Duc Luong, presented Vietnam�s Friendship Orders to Chinese Foreign
Minister Tang Jiaxuan and his assistant Wang Yi in Beijing on June 6. The
conferment was made in recognition of the two Chinese diplomats'
contributions to boosting the friendship and co-operation between Vietnam
and China. Mr Jiaxuan expressed how honoured he felt at receiving the noble
order, vividly showing the traditional friendship between China and
Vietnam, which was formed and cultivated by predecessor leaders, and at the
same time is maintained and developed by new generations of senior leaders
of the two countries. The foreign minister expressed his determination to,
together with Vietnam, strive for further developments in the two nations'
relationship in the 21st century.
