Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic on Friday sent a
telegram to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the
occasion of Russia's national holiday, expressing best
wishes for Russia's successful development, welfare
and prosperity.
The telegram said the peoples of Yugoslavia and Russia
are linked by close and firm friendship, mutual
understanding and cooperation in all fields. Also, it
expressed the belief that relations between the two
states and nations will continue to develop apace in
the spirit of their shared convictions and efforts for
peace, freedom and independence for the world's states
and nations and for equality- based global relations.
