Symposium on Mass Mobilisation Held

A symposium on Party mass mobilisation branches of 19 southern provinces
was held in Dong Nai province on June 22 by the Party Commission for Mass
Mobilisation. According to the report at the symposium, reforms in the
content and mode of activities of the Party mass mobilisation branches at
all levels is an issue of theoretical and practical importance,
contributing to increasing the effectiveness of leadership of the Party
committees. Good experiences of the branches for mass mobilisation in
cities and provinces, reported to the symposium, concentrated on measures
to help the branches perform well their counselling function for the Party
at all levels in mass mobilisation activities. To co-ordinate with relevant
agencies, particularly with organisations, to perform and examine mass
mobilisation activities, encouraging the whole people to promote internal
strength to complete the socio-economic tasks, to fight corruption and to
implement well the grassroots regulations on democracy was also a main
focus of the symposium. It is necessary for those who are involved in mass
mobilisation work to improve their political and cultural skills to meet
the requirements of reforming the content and mode in the activities of the
Party branches for mass mobilisation. Mr Truong Quang Duoc, member of the
Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and head of the Party
Commission for Mass Mobilisation chaired the symposium.
