Greetings to Slovenian President
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, President of the presidium
of the DPRK Supreme People's
Assembly, yesterday sent a message of greetings to Milan Kucan, Slovenian
President, on the occasion of its
Independence Day.
The message sent warm congratulations to the Slovenian President,
government and people on the Independence
Day and wished him and the Slovenian people success in their work for
prosperity of the country.
It expressed the conviction that the relations between the two
countries would continue to develop on good terms.
Meanwhile, premier of the DPRK cabinet Hong Song Nam and Foreign
Minister Paek Nam Sun respectively sent
messages of greetings to their Slovenian counterparts Andrey Bayuk and
Aloiz Peterle.
Film show
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- The Foreign Ministry of the Democratic
People's Republic of Korea arranged a
film show here today on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the great
leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the
Central Committee of the Worker's Party of Korea.
Invited there were foreign diplomatic envoys and members of the
missions of international organizations here.
Present there were Minister Paek Nam Sun and vice-Minister Pak Tong
Chun of foreign affairs and other officials
concerned.
The participants saw a Korean documentary film "The Respected Comrade
Kim Jong Il Is a Great Thinker and
Theoretician" which records revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Il who has
performed immortal exploits to shine long
in history by developing and enriching the Juche idea, a great guiding idea
in the era of independence, and giving
perfect answers to questions arising in the political, economic, cultural
and military and all other fields.
Independence Day of Madagascar marked
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) --Minju Joson yesterday marked the 40th
anniversary of Madagascan
independence.
The paper in a signed article said the Korean people extend warm
congratulations to the Madagascan people on the
40th anniversary of independence.
The paper said:
The Madagascan people are now making efforts to achieve national unity,
develop the national economy and build
a new society in which justice and truth are realised.
Madagascar is pursuing policy of non-alignment externally and
developing friendly and cooperative relations with
other countries.
The Korean people are rejoiced over the successes made by the
Madagascan people in the efforts to build a new
society.
Believing that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two
countries would further develop, the Korean
people wish the Madagascan people fresh success in their efforts to build a
new society.
Korean books presented to Pan-African Movement
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- Korean books were presented with due
ceremony at the secretariat of the
Pan-African Movement on June 16.
The DPRK ambassador conveyed famous works of the President Kim Il Sung
and General Secretary Kim Jong Il
to acting general secretary K. David Mafabi.
The acting general secretary said that their celebrated works are the
ideological and theoretical wealth of humankind
for their theoretical and practical significance.
Japan urged to mind its own business
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries again came out
with the issue of "six-party talks on
'security and cooperation' in the Korean peninsula and northeast Asia" and
are busy with despicable solicitation
diplomacy to put it into practice. This has come in for criticism by a
signed commentary of Rodong Sinmun today.
The commentary says:
As already known to the world, Japan-proposed "six-party talks"
allegedly aimed to discuss and settle the issue of
the Korean peninsula by the concerted efforts of its neighboring countries
are an interference in the Korean nation's
internal affairs and a grave violation of its sovereignty as the real aim
of the talks is to solve the Korean issue in Japan's
interests.
Through the "six-party talks" the Japanese reactionaries seek to edge
themselves into the Korean issue and fish in
troubled waters, the commentary notes, and goes on:
They do not want peace and reunification on the Korean peninsula but
only wish to see it divided forever. That
was why whenever the desire for reunification mounted on the Korean
peninsula they worked hard to chill it and incite
division.
The "six-party talks" peddled by them again are intended to achieve
their sinister political aim to bar the north and
south of Korea from making their efforts for its independent reunification
by poking their noses into its reunification
issue.
The Japanese reactionaries are the sworn enemy of the Korean people and
disturber of Korean reunification.
Japan is well advised to make a positive option to honestly settle its
past and improve the DPRK-Japan relations,
instead of staging poor solicitation diplomacy over the "six-party talks."
The DPRK will never pardon anyone seeking to achieve a sinister aim by
getting involved in the issue of Korean
reunification, the internal affair of the nation.
Japan had better properly judge the DPRK's will and stand and mind its
own business.
Exhibition hall of works on Juche idea
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- A great number of people have visited the
exhibition hall of works on the Juche
idea in Pyongyang.
The exhibition hall opened in December, Juche 87 (1998).
Nearly 310,000 working people and school youth and children have
visited the hall so far.
Exhibited in the hall in chronological order are more than 3,300 works
written and published by the President Kim
Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
Among them are over 2,650 works out of at least 3,000 works published
by Kim Il Sung during his revolutionary
activities.
His first work is "Down With Imperialism" (Oct. 1926) and the last work
is "On Bringing New Revolutionary
Turn In the Socialist Economic Construction" (July 1994).
More than 670 works of the works published by Kim Jong Il are on display.
A sand table and works in foreign languages show that about 24,550,000
works were published in some 60
foreign languages in over 100 countries.

pyongyang, 26 de junio (atcc) -- el diario "rodong sinmun" en un
articulo individual de ayer senala que la
reunificacion de corea ha de ser lograda por el metodo del sistema
federativo basado en la formula de una nacion y un
estado, dos regimenes y dos gobiernos sin que una parte conquiste a la otra
o sea conquistada por esta.
el articulo senala en particular:
el sistema federativo es para lograr la reunificacion por medio de
implantar un estado unificado nacional dejando
intactos los diferentes regimenes y gobiernos que existen en el norte y el
sur de corea.
el norte y el sur tienen elementos heterogeneos derivados de sus
diferentes regimenes que existen durante 55 anos.
pero, a base de los puntos comunes nacionales formados y consolidados
durante varios milenios los dos regimenes
pueden coexistir dentro de una nacion y un estado unificado.
se puede dejar el problema de unificar los diferentes regimenes
existentes en el norte y el sur a las generaciones
venideras a que lo resuelvan lentamente en el futuro. pero, el problema de
fundar un estado unificado nacional por
encima de diferencias de idea y regimen se presenta como una tarea suprema
de la nacion que no se puede postergar por
mas tiempo.
la historia prueba que no se puede lograr la reunificacion de corea con
el metodo de conquistar una parte a la otra
por la guerra o la via pacifica.
el metodo del sistema federativo fundamentado en la formula de una
nacion y un estado, dos regimenes y dos
gobiernos constituye un gran principio del medio de la reunificacion de la
patria que conviene a la realidad concreta de
corea.
el proyecto de fundacion de la republica federativa democratica de
koryo presentado por el gran lider camarada kim
il sung es la materializacion del gran principio del medio de la
reunificacion de la patria.
tambien es el mas realista, racional e imparcial que pueden aceptar
todos los que aman el pais y la nacion y desean
verdaderamente la reunificacion.
al lograr la reunificacion de la patria por medio de implantar el
sistema federativo, el norte y el sur podran realizar
su anhelo nacional sin que sus intereses sean afectados y demostrar a todo
el mundo la valiente y orgullosa imagen de
la nacion reunificada.
exhibicion de obras de idea juche
pyongyang, 26 de junio (atcc) -- la exhibicion de obras de idea juche
en esta capital fue inaugurada en diciembre
del 87 (1998) de la era juche.
hasta la fecha cerca de 310 mil trabajadores de distintos sectores,
jovenes y ninos escolares la visitaron.
estan exhibidas por orden cronologico mas de 2 650 obras del gran lider
presidente kim il sung y mas de 670 del
querido dirigente kim jong il, en total mas de 3 300 obras de ambos
dirigentes. durante todo el periodo de sus
actividades revolucionarias el presidente escribio y publico mas de 3 000
obras en total y tambien el dirigente, un gran
numero de obras.
la primera obra del presidente es "derrotemos al imperialismo" (octubre
de 1926) y la ultima de el "para registrar un
nuevo cambio revolucionario en la construccion de la economia socialista"
(julio de 1994).
tambien estan exhibidas sus obras en versiones extranjeras y maqueta
que demuestra el estado de publicacion y
divulgacion de mas de 24 millones 550 mil ejemplares de mas de 60 idiomas
de mas de 100 paises del mundo.
el japon no debe intervenir en cuestion coreana
pyongyang, 26 de junio (atcc) -- el diario "rodong sinmun" en un
comentario de hoy denuncia a los reaccionarios
japoneses que en estos dias vuelven a salir con las "negociaciones de seis
partes" sobre la "seguridad y cooperacion en
la peninsula coreana y nordeste asiatico" y recurren a vil suplicacion para
su efecto.
como es conocido por todo el mundo, estas negociaciones para que los
paises vecinos discutan y resuelvan en
comun el asunto de la peninsula coreana son una intervencion en los asuntos
internos de la nacion coreana y grave
atentado a su soberania, senala el comentario y continua:
los reaccionarios japoneses tienen la malsana finalidad de sacar
provecho de su intervencion en el asunto de la
peninsula coreana a traves de las negociaciones de seis partes al persiguir
sus intereses.
no desean la paz ni reunificacion de la peninsula coreana sino la
division indefinida de esta. de ahi que cada vez
que se acentuaba el ambiente de la reintegracion de corea maniobraron
perversamente para impedirla y fomentar la
division.
esta vez vuelven a presentar dichas negociaciones con el malsano
objetivo politico de intervenir en el asunto de
reunificacion de la peninsula coreana y obstaculizar los esfuerzos
independientes del norte y el sur por llevarla a efecto.
los reaccionarios japoneses son enemigo jurado del pueblo coreano y
estorbador de la reunificacion de corea.
no deben recurrir al juego de peticion para las "negociaciones de seis
partes" sino tomar con una actitud sincera
medidas practicas para liquidar su pasado criminal y mejorar sus relaciones
con rpdc. esto sera un proceder sabio.
no permitiremos a todos que persigan la malsana finalidad al intervenir
en el asunto de la reunificacion de la nacion
coreana.
el japon debe distinguir claramente la voluntad y la posicion de
nuestra nacion y dejar de intervenir en el asunto de
esta.

pyongyang, 26 de junio (atcc) -- en ocasion del 36 aniversario del
inicio del trabajo del gran dirigente kim jong il en
el comite central del partido del trabajo de corea, el ministerio de rr.ee.
de la rpdc ofrecio hoy en esta capital una
proyeccion filmica.
estuvieron invitados los representantes diplomaticos de varios paises y
los miembros de las representaciones de las
organizaciones internacionales en la rpdc.
participaron paek nam sun, ministro de rr.ee., pak tong chun,
viceministro de rr.ee. y otros funcionarios.
los presentes vieron el documental coreano "el estimado camarada kim
jong il es el gran ideologo y teorico"
referido a las actividades revolucionarias de el quien realizo inmortales
hazanas historicas al desarrollar y enriquecer la
idea juche, gran idea directriz de la epoca de la independencia y dar
respuestas perfectas a los problemas que se
presentan en los sectores politico, economico, cultural, militar, etc.
