Kim Jong Il receives Jong Ju Yong and Jong Mong Hon(June.30.2000)
Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il received Jong
Ju Yong, Honorary President of the South Korean Hyundai Business Group, and
Jong Mong Hon, chairman of the Hyundai Asan board of directors, in Wonsan on
June 29.
On hand was Kim Yong Sun, chairman of the Korean Asia-Pacific Peace
Committee.
Kim Jong Il warmly greeted Jong Ju Yong and Jong Mong Hon, the first
visitors to the north after the inter-Korean summit, and talked with them in
an amicable atmosphere.
He expressed the belief that they would make a positive contribution to
implementing the north-south joint declaration by pushing forward the work
for national unity, reconciliation, exchange and cooperation.
On the occasion they expressed their heartfelt thanks to him for his
kind reception and encouraging words.
Kim Jong Il arranged a dinner in honor of them and their party and had a
souvenir picture taken with them.
