Kim Yong Nam receives credentials from Lebanese ambassador
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, President of the presidium of
the Supreme People's Assembly of
the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received credentials from Zeidan
al Saghir, newly appointed Ambassador
E. P. of the Republic of Lebanon to the DPRK, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall
on July 6.
Present there was Kim Yong Il, vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the
DPRK.
Kim Yong Nam had a talk with the ambassador.
FM meets new Lebanese ambassador
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Paek Nam Sun, Foreign Minister of the
Democratic People's Republic of Korea,
had a talk with Zeidan al Saghir, newly appointed Ambassador E. P. of the
Republic of Lebanon to the DPRK, who
paid a courtesy call on him today.
Foreigners visit President Kim Il Sung's statue
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Cuban ambassador to Korea Jose Manuel
Inclan Embade and his embassy
officials, David Morton, resident coordinator of the United Nations and
concurrently resident representative of the
UNDP, and staff members of its mission, Dilawar Ali Khan, representative of
the UNICEF, and staff members of its
mission and staff members of the mission of the World Food Program visited
the statue of the President Kim Il Sung
on Mansu Hill today to pay homage to him on the occasion of the 6th
anniversary of his passing away.
They laid floral baskets and bouquets before his statue and paid silent
tribute to him.
On the same day, the manager of the Voluntad Publishing House of
Ecuador and members of the delegation of the
Kitakyushu Assemblymen's League for the Promotion of Japan-Korea Friendship
visited his statue to lay floral
baskets and paid homage to him on the occasion.
National art exhibition held
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- An opening ceremony of the national art
exhibition "The Great Leader Comrade
Kim Il Sung Will Always Be With Us" was held at the Korean Art Gallery on
July 6 on the occasion of the 6th
anniversary of his passing away.
Exhibited were more than 100 art works including Korean paintings,
oil-paintings and posters on the immortal
revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung and the outstanding
personality of Kim Jong Il as the great leader.
Among them were scores of their portraits.
Included in art pieces exhibited were Korean paintings "Sun of All
People," "Leader Will Always Be With Us"
and "Blizzard of Mt. Paektu" and oil-painting "We Will Trust and Follow
Only the Great Leader Kim Jong Il."
Minister of Culture Kang Nung Su and others participated in the opening
ceremony.
Photo exhibition and film show
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Foreign Trade held a photo
exhibition and film show on July 6 at
the Taedonggang Club for the Diplomatic Corps on the occasion of the 6th
anniversary of the passing away of the
President Kim Il Sung.
Invited there were foreign embassy officials in charge of economic and
trade affairs here.
Present there were vice-Minister of Foreign Trade Ku Song Bok and other
officials concerned.
The participants looked round the photographs showing the immortal
revolutionary activities of the President and
appreciated part 7 of the Korean documentary film "The Great Leader Comrade
Kim Il Sung Meets with Heads of State
and Prominent Figures of Foreign Countries" (January 1990-June 1994).
Undying letters
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- A monument inscribed with undying letters
"Kim Il Sung July 7, 1994" stands at
Panmunjom, Kaesong near the Demarcation Line dividing Korea into two parts.
It is called the monument to the
autograph on reunification.
The letters are the autograph made by the President Kim Il Sung on a
document related to the reunification of the
country in the last period of his life.
He signed a historic document for great national unity and
reunification on July 7, Juche 83 (1994).
The nine letters represent a great program for reunification associated
with his noble life and undying exploits he
performed on behalf of national reunification.
A large number of people from all walks of life, foreigners and
overseas Koreans, when visiting the monument,
recall with deep emotion the life of the President who worked hard to
reunify the country to the last moments of his
life.
Feeling regret at the division of the country, he put forward
reasonable and realistic policies and proposals for
national reunification in each period and at each stage of the revolution
and construction and worked hard to put them
into practice.
The three principles of national reunification--independence, peaceful
reunification and great national unity--the
proposal for founding the democratic federal republic of Koryo and the
ten-point programme of the great unity of the
entire nation for the reunification of the country, laid down by him, serve
as the three-point charter of national
reunification.
The charter serves as the guidelines for the Korean people in their
movement for national reunification.
Kim Il Sung always alive in hearts of people
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Tomorrow will be the sixth death
anniversary of the President Kim Il Sung.
No matter how much water flows under the bridge the people miss him
badly. He always lives in the hearts of all
the people as a peerlessly great man and the father of the Korean nation.
Firm is their faith and will to hold the President in high esteem
forever. The Kumsusan Memorial Palace is a
product of the faith and will. The palace where the President lies in state
has been consecrated to the sacred ground, the
first of its kind in the world. The year of Juche and Sun's Day were
instituted and the constitution of the Democratic
People's Republic of Korea was revised to hold him in high esteem as the
eternal President of the DPRK.
Portraits of the President with sunny smile as well as the slogan "The
great leader comrade Kim Il Sung will
always be with us" are seen in different parts of the country.
Letters that reflect the fixed faith of the Korean people are engraved
on natural rocks of Mt. Kumgang, Mt.
Myohyang and other famous mountains and commemorative coins (gold and
silver) were issued.
The immortal revolutionary paean "Song of General Kim Il Sung"
reverberates far and wide throughout Korea.
Endless streams of people from all walks of life visit the Kumsusan
Memorial Palace and statues of the President
across the country.
Poets and writers are busy creating works on his undying revolutionary
exploits and noble popular traits. The past
six years witnessed at least 7,000 famous poems, words of songs and pieces
of music to add to the treasure house of
Juche-based literature and arts.
The cause of perpetuating the memory of the President has been
accomplished in this land, which is a shining
fruition of the unshakable determination and noble sense of obligation of
the great leader Kim Jong Il to carry to
completion the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered by his preceding leader.
"SDF's" drill for overseas aggression under fire
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- The Japanese ground "Self-Defence Force"
recently staged an assault landing
exercise at Hamataiki, Hokkaido.
In this regard Rodong Sinmun today says in a signed commentary:
The landing exercise of the Japanese ground "Self-Defence Force," which
was staged under the simulated
conditions of a real war, means a danger signal indicating that Japan's
preparations for overseas invasion have been
rounded off and are inching closer to the phase of putting it into practice.
Landing operation is necessary for Japan to launch invasion overseas
and a first step towards its land attack
operation. "defence" on the lips of the Japanese reactionaries is precisely
the other side of a synonym for aggression.
The DPRK is the first target of overseas aggression to be launched by
the Japanese reactionaries who emerged as a
dangerous force for war in Asia. The DPRK is the first target of attack
under the "SDF's" operation plan. The
deployment of main offensive units of the "SDF" in the western region of
Japan near Korea is aimed at its reconquest
of Korea.
The DPRK remains highly vigilant against Japan's attempt at overseas
invasion and is fully prepared to cope with
it.
Japan's moves for a war to realise its wild ambition for overseas
invasion are as reckless as inviting disasters.
Sri Lankan seminar on exploits of Kim Jong Il held
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- A Sri Lankan seminar on the immortal
exploits of the great leader Kim Jong Il, a
veteran politician, was held in Colombo on June 19 on the occasion of the
36th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's start of
work at the Central Committee of the Worker's Party of Korea.
At the seminar the secretary general of the Sri Lanka-People's Korea
Friendship Association delivered the report
titled "Veteran politician of the world Kim Jong Il."
He said:
Leader of socialist Korea Kim Jong Il is a leading veteran politician
in the present international community.
This is because he has a longer political career than any others.
He authored many works including "Socialism Is a Science," "On
Preserving the Juche Character and National
Character of the Revolution and Construction" and "The Worker's Party of
Korea Is the Party of the Great Leader
Comrade Kim Il Sung," thus indicating a true way of bringing the Korean
revolution and the cause of socialism as a
whole to sure victory and opening a new era of dynamic advance of the human
cause of independence.
Under his army-first revolutionary leadership, the Korean People's Army
has grown to be an army of the WPK in
which revolutionary military discipline prevails, a pillar of the country
and the main force of the revolution and a
matchless army equipped with powerful offensive and defensive means.
Kim Jong Il is defending socialism and consolidating its fortress
despite a great political turmoil on the planet at the
end of the 20th century. His exploits will shine in history along with the
human cause of independence.
Greatness of Kim Il Sung praised
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Political party leaders of various
countries spoke highly of the greatness of the
respected leader Kim Il Sung.
Ivan Rodriguez, chairman of the central committee of the Dominican
Worker's Party, highly praised the exploits
Kim Il Sung performed in the struggle of the world people for liberation
and socialist construction in the DPRK. His
idea still serves as guidelines in revolutionary struggle and instills into
the people faith in the ideal of socialism, he said.
General secretary of the national executive committee of the American
Popular Revolutionary Alliance of Peru
Jorge Del Castillo Galvez said that revolutionary ideas on justice,
solidarity and the peaceful reunification of the
country adhered to by the great leader all his life serve as a beacon for
the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Bishnu Bahadur Manandar, general secretary of the central executive
committee of the Nepal Communist Party
(United), said that revolutionary teachings of Kim Il Sung serve as
guidelines for the progressive and democratic
people throughout the world in their struggle against imperialism and for
peace, progress and social justice.
Chairman of the executive committee of "Working Russia" Movement V.
Anpilov said members of the movement
would review their thinking and work, guided by the idea of Kim Il Sung. He
added they are learning from the
sagacity and fortitude Kim Il Sung displayed for the revival of socialism
all over the world.
Sazhi Umalatova, chairperson of the Party for Peace and Unity of
Russia, said that the whole life of Kim Il Sung
was devoted to the victory of socialism not only in Korea but the rest of
the world and the banner lifted high by him
clearly indicates the road to be followed by all the people on the earth.
Functions on 6th death anniversary of Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Lecture meetings, photo exhibitions and
film shows were held by the group for the
study of works of comrade Kim Jong Il under the Amerindian Action Movement
of Guyana, the Golden Grove
Primary School Teachers' Group for the Study of Comrade Kim Il Sung's Juche
Idea and Kim Jong Il Class of
Guyana and a medical team in Ghat of Libya from June 26 to 29 on the
occasion of the 6th death anniversary of the
President Kim Il Sung.
Put on display at functions were photos showing the immortal exploits
of the President.
The leader of the Amerindian Action Movement of Guyana in a lecture
introduced the tireless efforts and exploits
of Kim Il Sung for the cause of independence of the popular masses and said
that his glorious revolutionary history is
further glorified by the supreme leader of the Korean people Kim Jong Il.
Saying that the august name and exploits of Kim Il Sung will shine in
the 21st century, too, he prayed for his
eternal life.
The secretary of public health of the Ghat City People's Committee of
Libya said in a lecture that it is no other
great men than Kim Il Sung in the world who formed revolutionary

Wreath laid before tomb of DPRK hero An Tong Su
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- A wreath was laid before the tomb of DPRK
hero An Tong Su in the Patriotic
Martyrs' Cemetery yesterday on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his
death in battle.
An Tong Su, who was the deputy commander in charge of cultural affairs
of the 105 tank division during the
Fatherland Liberation War, entered Seoul on the first tank, occupied the
Seoul Broadcasting Station and announced
over radio that Seoul was liberated by the people's army.
Standing a wreath sent by General Secretary Kim Jong Il was before the
tomb.
Kim Yong Sun, secretary of the Central Committee of the Worker's Party
of Korea, Ryo Chun Sok, vice-Minister
of the People's Armed Forces, and officials concerned were present at the
wreath-laying ceremony.
Also present was widow Jong Il Sim, who is a resident in Russia.
Wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces and
the bureau of reception for overseas
compatriots were laid before the tomb.
The participants observed a silent tribute to the memory of the hero.
Meeting for remembering Kim Il Sung held
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- A meeting of foreign crew for remembering
the President Kim Il Sung was held at
Nampho port on the west coast of Korea yesterday on the occasion of the 6th
anniversary of his passing away.
Captains and crewmen, addressing the meeting, said that Kim Il Sung
founded the immortal Juche idea and
accomplished the cause of national liberation. He wisely led the Korean
people to turn the Democratic People's
Republic of Korea into a powerful socialist country of independence,
self-sustenance, self-reliance in defence and
performed immortal exploits in making the whole world independent, they

and Madagascar respectively on July 3 and June 30.
The meetings decided to widely introduce the greatness of the respected
President, feats performed by him for the
world revolution and successes achieved by the Korean people in the
struggle for the country's reunification under the
wise guidance of the great leader Kim Jong Il and organize various events.
Anniversary of passing away of Kim Il Sung commemorated

Federation of Trade Unions of Korea held

exhibicion central de obras de bellas artes "el gran lider camarada kim il

motivo del 6 aniversario de su fallecimiento.
estan exhibidas mas de 100 obras entre otras decenas de obras que con
imagenes del presidente kim il sung y del
gran dirigente kim jong il reflejan las inmortales proezas revolucionarias
