revolutionary practice, not in study.
He made public nearly 60 works including his first work "Down with
Imperialism" in days of the anti-Japanese
revolution, providing the guidelines precious in speeding up the victory of
the anti-Japanese national liberation
struggle.
He published over 320 works during the period of the Fatherland
Liberation War (June 1950-July 1953), thus
arousing the army and people to victory.
He made public nearly 2,700 works to give perfect answers to all
theoretical and practical questions in carrying on
the Korean revolution and human cause of independence during the period of
building a new democratic Korea,
post-war reconstruction and socialist construction of different stages.

Kim Hyong Jik, indomitable revolutionary fighter

Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- Today marks the 106th birth anniversary of
an indomitable revolutionary fighter
Kim Hyong Jik.
He embarked upon the road of revolution with the spirit of "aim high"
in his early years and devotedly struggled
for the liberation of the country and the happiness of people to the last
moments of his life.
Kim Hyong Jik was the outstanding leader of the Korean national
liberation movement and the great pioneer in
changing the course of the struggle from the nationalist movement to the
communist movement.
He inaugurated the Korean National Association on March 23, 1917, at
Hakdanggol, Pyongyang, to develop the
national liberation movement to a higher stage.
This association was an anti-Japanese underground revolutionary
organization which was transparent in
anti-imperialist stand and national independent stand and biggest in its
scale and activity scope in Korea.
After its inauguration, he developed the national liberation movement
in Korea to a new stage of development by
putting forward the idea that people should have the spirit of national
independence, enlarging as well as expand
strengthen organisation and a policy that they should wipe out the armed
enemy with arms and performing the immortal
exploits in the struggle for this.
Indeed, his life was the brilliant one of an ardent patriot who devoted
his all to the independence of the country and
the prosperity of all generations to come.
Therefore, his revolutionary exploits will shine for all ages.
His statues are standing in Kangdong county, Pyongyang, Sakju county,
North Phyongan Province, Junggang
county, Jagang Province, and other places associated with his immortal
revolutionary exploits.
And his revolutionary museums and monuments were built in different
places and his relics are preserved.
Several units and schools have been named after him.
Among them are Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, Kim Hyong Jik
People's Hospital and Kim Hyong Jik
county.

Untrodden Path," showing his revolutionary
life and struggle were created.

Japan's anti-DPRK charade

Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- The Japanese government reportedly decided
to mention "missile threat from
North Korea" in a special statement to be adopted at the Okinawa summit of
major nations.
The Japanese authorities seek a despicable and wicked aim in floating
again the fiction of "missile threat," a
product of their hostile policy towards the DPRK, in a bid to build up
public opinion through an international fora.
Japan is a thrice-cursed criminal state which imposed immeasurable
disasters, misfortune and sufferings upon the
Korean people while enforcing an unprecedented military rule during its
occupation of Korea in the past.
Though more than half a century has passed since then, Japan has
neither made any apology or compensation to
the Korean people nor honestly reflected on its past crimes.
Japan, far from drawing a proper lesson from its history of bloody war,
is stepping up arms buildup after
throwing off the mask of "pacifist state" in a bid to realize its old dream
of "Greater East Asia Coprosperity Sphere." It
is also busy with the retrogressive revision of the constitution for its
overseas aggression. Japan cites "missile threat
from North Korea" as a justification for these moves.
The Japanese authorities' ulterior aim to bring "missile threat" from
the DPRK to the Okinawa summit of major
nations for discussion is to tarnish the international authority and image
of the DPRK, mislead the world public opinion
urging Japan to honestly reflect on its past crimes and justify its moves
to become a military power.
This sinister and wicked intention of Japan is intolerable as it is an
unbearable insult and mockery of the Korean
people and the international community.
If Japan truly wishes to fulfil its obligation and responsibility as a
member of the international community it should
clearly redeem its crimes committed against the Korean people and humankind
in the past, instead of trying to achieve
its sinister aim by wooing others.
Japan is well-advised to face up to the trend of the times and drop its
anachronistic anti-DPRK hostile policy.

Arboretum carries people's best wishes

Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- There is a wonderful arboretum near the

species including woody plants are
harmoniously distributed in well-systematized plant zones.
This arboretum bears witness to the best wishes of the Korean people
and the world revolutionary people for the
eternal life of the President Kim Il Sung.
Flowers loved by him in his lifetime and rare trees found in the places
where he visited have been transplanted
there by the sincere efforts of people.
A zelkova tree weighing over 10 tons was transplanted by officials of a
national institution and a family from
Kangdong county, Pyongyang, transplanted with all sincerity over 1,000
magnolia trees there.
Pupils of senior middle schools across the country make nests and send
them to the arboretum every year to let
birds of various species fly in the area.
In the arboretum there are lots of rare plants sent by many figures of
China, Russia, Mongolia and other countries
including the chairman of the Danish Dendrologists Association.

village of internationalist soldier Ya. T.
Novichenko.
Overseas compatriots made sincere contributions to the arboretum.
A Korean style park will appear in the center of the arboretum before long.
Thanks to these devoted efforts of the Korean people and the world
progressive people the arboretum will not only
add to the scenic beauty of the sacred temple of Juche but serve as a
wonderful center for scientific research and a
cultural recreation ground for people.

and preserving peace are the burning tasks
of mankind" to elucidate principled problems in accomplishing the human
cause of independence.
Answering the questions raised by the Washington Times, the Japanese
politico-theoretical magazine Sekai, the
French newspaper Le Monde and many other foreign media, the President gave
scientific answers to the problems
arising in building a new independent world free from war and aggression.
The President covered over 522,440 km to visit the former Soviet Union,

and secretary of the All India Committee of
Veterans, the former chairman of the Nigerian Journalists Union and the
chairman of the Swiss Committee for

The peace-loving people of the world assert that the reunification of
