Astonishingly, police reject > this demand and refer to a decision of the supreme court in 1985 which > ruled that non-announcement of a demonstration is not sufficient for a ban. > Moreover, it would be a problem to break apart 2000-3000 protesters with > 100-150 police officers. However, now they go for intimidation! Herr Anetsdorfer, a member of FPOe, wrote > a letter reading: "We learned that you are unfortunately unable to observe > the simple customary (!) conditions for the usage of your apartment. > Therefore, we ask you to avoid such disturbances (!) in future and > eventually you might want to increase your consideration of Central > European (!) habits." The letter closed: "We do hope that we allowed you a > glimpse into the world of thoughts of your neighbors, and we remain in the > hope for an improvement of your manners." Herr Anetshofer's world of > thoughts was recently revealed by the Viennese weekly city magazine > "Falter". During a brainstorming for new FPOe-leaflets, he had flashes of > inspiration like "Who exterminates nation and country? SPOe and > asylum-seekers!" (in German, this rhymes!) A suggestion to arrange a > discussion forum at a place frequented by Turkish people, he answered > saying: "At the best, I am going to smash a grenade into that place."
