Korea's independent and peaceful reunification should not be obstructed by
outsiders
Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) -- Foreign forces should obstruct no longer
the independent and peaceful
reunification of Korea.
In order to achieve Korea's reunification peacefully, it is necessary
to withdraw the U.S. troops from South
Korea, first of all, and ease the tension between the north and south.
Kaname Mise, chairman of the Nagano Regional Society for Supporting the
Independent and Peaceful
Reunification of Korea and head of its delegation, said this in an
interview with KCNA after concluding his visit to the
DPRK.
The north-south joint declaration is the reunification stratagem
published on the basis of reaffirming the three
principles of national reunification--independence, peaceful reunification
and great national unity--put forward by the
respected leader President Kim Il Sung, he said, and continued:
The publication of the declaration is a great joy for us who support
the independent and peaceful reunification of
Korea as well as the Korean people.
The Korean people are a great people firmly armed with the immortal
Juche idea, and the DPRK is a great country
which is developing by thoroughly embodying the Juche idea in all sectors
of social life.
The Korean people are overcoming difficulties and hardships with the
might of single-hearted unity under the wise
leadership of the great General Secretary Kim Jong Il, who is identical
with President Kim Il Sung.

Preservation of peace in Asia called for
Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) -- Asian peace is an important factor of
global peace at present, says Rodong
Sinmun today in a signed article.
Peace in Asia is an important link in the whole chain of world peace
because it is not only a region of military
strategic importance but has a huge economic potential as a continent rich
in resources, the article notes, and continues:
Peace in Asia is essential for world peace as it is plagued with the
leftover of the Cold War era.
Nothing is more urgent than peace on the Korean peninsula in the
efforts to ensure peace in Asia at present. Asia
cannot be peaceful without peace on the Korean peninsula.
For Asian peace it is necessary to dismantle foreign military bases in
the region and force foreign troops to pull
back from there, first of all, and check and frustrate the moves of the
imperialists for domination and interference. It is
also necessary for its people to unite and closely cooperate with each other.
Peace is achievable only through the concerted efforts and joint
struggle of the Asian people.
