THURSDAY-AUGUST 17, 2000 **LOS ANGELES-CALIFORNIA** We will meet at the Federal Building in downtown, and march on the streets to the Democratic National Convention, ending with a candlelight vigil for peace and justice during Al Gore's acceptance inside. 4:00 pm-6:00 pm-RALLY at the Federal Building (300 N. Los Angeles St.& Temple) 6:00 pm-MARCH to the Democratic Convention (Staples Center) down Broadway Ave. 7:15 pm-VIGIL for peace at the Convention, coinciding with Al Gore's acceptance speech The Puerto Rican Alliance of Los Angeles does NOT endorse any acts of violence, and it calls for a peaceful march to bring attention to the urgent situation in Vieques-Puerto Rico.
