The Central Committee of  C.PI(ML) share the deep sorrow and grief with the Comrades of the Communist Party of Greece on the passing away of Comrade V.  Elhremidis, The Central Committee member of the Communist Party of Greece. In his loss, Not only the European working class lost its one of the vocal voice in the European Parliament but also the world people lost a staunch anti Fascist fighter and anti War campaigner at this hour when  ought to have been with them. On behalf of the entire membership of the party the Central committee bade the red salute to the departed comrade.

Comrade V. Ephremidis passed away

Athens, 17.08.2000
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece  with deep sorrow and grief announces the death of Comrade Vassilis Ephremidis, member of the Central Committee and for long time member of the Greek and European Parliament. B. Ephremidis had a major role in organising the antifascist resistance and later in the World Peace Movement.  He devoted his life to the achievement of the ideals of the working class, to the propulsion of the interests of people, developing substantial political action. He remained strong to the idealism and the principles of the function of the Communist Party of Greece. He was shown off as a most significant personality of the labour and massive movement.
