Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The Libyan leader Col. Moammar Kadhafi arrives in Riyadh
Wednesday evening to begin an official visit to Saudi
Arabia, the first in two decades.

Kadhafi has since 2 October been touring several Arab
countries, including Egypt, Jordan and Syria.

Sources close to his entourage said that the tour was aimed at reviving
Afro-Arab co-operation to enable the two sides meet the challenges of
globalisation.

Kadhafi left Damascus, the Syrian capital, Tuesday and spent the night in a
Bedouin tent in the desert, before pursuing his trip to the Saudi capital
Wednesday morning.

On Saturday, the Libyan leader was in Amman, Jordan, to visit wounded
Palestinians being treated in Jordanian hospitals following ongoing clashes
with Israeli occupation forces.

Among those consoled by Kadhafi was Jamel Al-Dora, whose son Mohamed died in
his arms, after he was hit by a bullet fired by Israeli soldiers. His
picture has been shown by several televisions all over the world.

"The blood that has flowed will never dry up before the end of the
Arab-Israeli conflict," Kadhafi said.

Informed sources said that while in Riyadh, Kadhafi and his host, Saudi King
Fahd, and Crown Prince Abdallah would discuss ways of enhancing bilateral
relations and the explosive situation in the occupied Arab territories.
