It should be noted that the "Scottish Seperatist Group" mentioned in this report is a "one man army", the product of the warped imagination of Adam Busby, a racist, fascistic MI6 asset who is in self-imposed "exile" in Dublin. He has in the past been responsible for sending letter-bombs to leftist groups in the UK including Anti-Fascist Action and Red Action. An Internet web page run by the Real IRA - which can only be accessed by a password - is running sinister details of the security operation for William when he attends St Andrews University. The authorities and the Prince, who is taking a year out in South America, were oblivious to the threat until contacted yesterday by the Express. Our investigators were able to log on to the hate-filled Real IRA page following an anonymous tip-off to our Scottish office. The contents make chilling reading. In addition to detailing where the Prince and his bodyguards will be staying, the site also provides precise information on the location of an electronic security system being installed in his quarters. Terrorists reading the page are also briefed on places where William can be "overlooked at extremely accurate range" and where a potential attacker could be concealed. Last night Dr Bruce Hoffman, an expert on how terrorists use the Internet to plan attacks on targets around the world and a former professor at St Andrews, said: "This is extremely worrying. "From my own knowledge of having been based at St Andrews for five years I can tell you that the descriptions of the places mentioned on the site are very, very precise. "Someone has clearly taken some time and trouble to check this out. On one level it is good news for the security services as they now know what the terrorists know. "However, it also has to be said that everyone else knows now as well. The Real IRA enjoys spreading propaganda like any other terrorist group, but the password element to this suggests that it is more of a communication between operatives than anything else." A spokeswoman for the royalty protection squad, based at Scotland Yard, said: "We do not comment on aspects of security regarding the Royal Family." But sources said that in reality there was little the authorities could do. The web page is run from the United States by a Californian-based businessman and no UK law has therefore been broken. Also, because it is only raw intelligence - no direct threat is made to William even if the page clearly implies he is being targeted - it is difficult to see what offence is being committed. The businessman running the site said he would consider removing the page "if given a valid reason" but failed to act after the Express showed him who was behind it. The information is posted on the site by an organisation calling itself the Scottish Separatist Group, a political wing of the Scottish National Liberation Army. The SNLA's former leader Adam Busby, now based in Dublin, is thought to have forged links with the Real IRA through contacts in the US. Both groups raise cash there to fund their campaigns. But security sources said the site was run by the Real IRA, the anti-peace group behind last month's rocket attack on the London headquarters of MI6. Four members of the organisation were named in a BBC1 Panorama documentary earlier this week as being responsible for the Omagh bombing, which killed 29 people. The web page, linked to a site called Ireland's Own Forum, also reveals details of the Queen's movements. Security experts said it was perfectly feasible that the Scottish group was acting as the eyes and ears of the Real IRA in preparation for a possible attack on the Prince. Northern Ireland security expert Alan Murray said : "If there is a cell of the SNLA prepared to pass on information to the Real IRA, then they will take the information. Prince William's time in St Andrews is not going to be easy. His movements will be reported extensively in the media and the terrorists can latch on to that as well. "If he is particularly keen on going to a certain bar, for example it could become an easy target. Likewise if he goes to a certain nightclub then it could be they will say 'OK, we'll get a clear shot at him when he leaves at 2.30am or whenever'." The Real IRA suffered a setback yesterday when police arrested several members on the outskirts of Belfast in possession of a grenade-launcher and ammunition. Express Newspapers, 2000 ######## Original SSG Communique ######### Re: "Prince" William at St Andrews University (information from SSG) The English prince will live in a special apartment in St Salvator's Hall, a University residence which was built in the 1930s. St Salvator's is right inside the University, and is next to the United College Quadrangle. The Art History department, where the Prince is hoping to study, and the university library are both approximately 300 metres from St Salvator's. Virtually this whole area can be overlooked at extremely accurate range from other university buildings and from buildings in the town to which there is open access. St Salvator's Hall is four storeys high, and overlooks a lawn which has trees and some foliage - including some bushes growing up to the walls and providing reasonable cover. William's apartment is the only two-room apartment in St Salvator's and is normally kept as a guest room. His bodyguards have been allocated the single rooms on either side of his apartment. Local contacts confirm that a security system will be installed with alarms linking all three rooms. Additionally, panic buttons will link all three rooms to the local police station (which is close to the University) and to the HQ of Fife Constabulary.
