Day for joint action launched

Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy College's managing board and Youth Union
launched a movement entitled 'Day for Joint Action' for nearly 10,000 staff and
students to enhance their activities for flood victims nationwide on October 18.

The college has called on doctors and students to help Tien Giang and Long An
provinces' people overcome the flood consequences, take care of their health and teach
hygiene methods in daily life for local people. They also raised money to buy
essential medicine and build a pilot clinic for the people.

Since this year's flood season, the volunteer doctor groups have presented gifts and
money worth over VND 500 million for people in Dong Thap and Tien Giang provinces.
