We condemn the unjust trial of the participants in the Berlin conference

Starting on Nov 2, seventeen Iranians, Including newspaper editors, writers, and lawyers, that took part in the Berlin Conference last April on the future of Iran's' reform, are facing trial in the "Islamic Revolutionary Court". There is a possibility that some will face death sentence. The regime claims that "the conference had the aim of changing Iran's system of religious Government including the sanctities and rejecting Islamic judgement" and that several Iranian's living abroad and some political opposition group or organizations including The Organization of Iranian People's Fedayee Guerrillas had a part in this.
We, The Organization of Iranian People's Fedayee Guerrillas, find it necessary to announce our position on this reactionary and unjust court.
1. This trial like all other trials in our country and under the oppressive and religious tyranny of the Islamic regime is unjust and suppressive and violates the world declaration of human rights. Consequently neither this regime nor any of the fractions among them have the legitimacy to put any of the Iranian citizens on trial. On the other hand, it is the heads of the Islamic republic that should be put on trial in the International courts for the crime they have committed against the Iranian people.
2. Our organization does not have any connections with the people on trial, since they all are part of this regime and act within the framework of the reactionary constitution of this regime. We believe that this trial is unjust and represents the level of tolerance of the regime towards their own alliances and that there can never be a true reform within the Islamic republic tyranny.
3. We ask all International human rights organizations to take serious and immediate action for the freedom of political and or ideological prisoners who are being continuously tortured and harasses in Iran
