achieved independently and peacefully
and the proposal for reunifying Korea by federal formula put forward by
President Kim Il Sung is the most
just and reasonable one for reunification.

Iranian President on friendly relations between DPRK and Iran

Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- Iranian President Seyed Mohammad
Khatami said that the
relations between Iran and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are
strong friendly relations, when he
met the DPRK ambassador to Iran on Nov. 5.
The friendly relations between the two countries will invariably
develop in the era of the great leader Kim
Jong Il as they did in the lifetime of the great President Kim Il Sung, he
noted.
I am pleased to see the inter-Korean relations improving and peace and
stability settling on the Korean
peninsula thanks to the wise guidance of Kim Jong Il and support measures
taken by the DPRK, he added.

friendship Kochang co-op farm yesterday to help it in vegetable harvesting.
Vietnamese ambassador to the DPRK Do Thi Hoa and embassy officials
visited the Korea-Vietnam
friendship Jamjin co-op farm on Nov. 1 to help it in rice thrashing.
During break the guests conversed and sang songs together with farmers,
deepening friendship.
They handed their sincere aid materials and souvenirs to the farms.

Japan's dangerous moves

Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- Japan is hell-bent on the moves to
reprocess nuclear waste at
home.
Japanese NHK TV reported that 37 tons of nuclear waste piled up at
nuclear power stations of Japan
would be concentrically transported to a reprocessing factory in Rokkasho
village on December 19.
Japan says that its nuclear plan is for peaceful industrial
development. But it is nothing but a red herring.
It has massively stockpiled plutonium by reprocessing a large quantity
of nuclear waste from other
countries despite strong protest from anti-nuke peace forces of the world.
Plutonium stockpiled in Japan is enough to make hundreds of nuclear bombs.
Japan's plan to reprocess nuclear waste in addition to the secretly
stockpiled plutonium whose quantity is
much greater than what it actually needs is aimed to realize nuclear
weaponization any moment without
relying on other countries.
The Japanese bellicose forces have spent a huge amount of funds for the
development of nuclear
weapons over the last 50 years since the end of World War II, asserting
that Japan's defeat in the war was not
a judgement of history but was attributable to its weak strength.
It is not secret that Japan is developing even nuclear capable
inter-continental ballistic missiles after
possessing all the elements and technologies for the manufacture of nuclear
bombs including electronic
detonating devices.
Japan's continued test-fire of "H-2" and "M5" missiles under the name
of space research in recent years
is aimed at having access to nuclear capable missiles.
Through nuclear weaponization and the modernization of missile forces
Japan seeks to have a military
edge in the Asia-Pacific region and world supremacy.
It is necessary to guard against Japan.

Imperialists' method to invade developing countries

Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- The imperialists' principal method to
invade developing countries
is to divide and destroy them one by one, says Rodong Sinmun today in a
signed article.
The imperialists are working hard to bar developing countries from
taking the road of independence and
progress, the article notes, and continues:
The imperialists biasedly support or assist one side in dispute to
sacrifice the other side.
"Multi-party system" and "democracy" are the crafty motto put up by the
imperialists to invade
developing countries.
Since the end of the Cold War they have desperately worked to introduce
"multi-party system" and
"democracy" into these countries.
They have threatened that they would not give "aid" to developing
nations unless they accept the
"multi-party system".
The imperialists are also trying to isolate developing countries by
availing themselves of their privileged
position in the international political arena.
Western powers exercise privilege and make arbitrary practices at the
United Nations in a bid to impose
their will upon developing countries.
Consequently, not a few issues are handled in favour of those powers.
Unreasonable international
sanctions are, accordingly, imposed upon a number of developing countries.
Developing countries can foil the imperialists' destroy-one-by-one
strategy, if those countries maintain
their principled stand toward them and struggle in unity.

Korean people's just struggle supported

Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- Heikki Sipila, director of "Kominform"
Company of Finland,
contributed a travel note on his Korea visit to the Finnish newspaper
Tyokansan Sanomat on Nov. 2. He
visited the DPRK as a member of the delegation of the Finnish National
Committee for the Study of the Juche
idea.
He wrote that the socio-political system in the DPRK is characterized
by collectivism displayed in the
work and activities based on the Juche idea.
The author went on: The mass gymnastic display and artistic performance
performed at the may day
stadium is a great production symbolic of unity and talents of the Korean
people. Such living example of
collectivism can be noticed in all fabrics of the Korean society.
The army-first policy of General Secretary Kim Jong Il of the Worker's
Party of Korea is based on the
unique philosophy that the country's sovereignty is guaranteed by strong
military power.
The acute shortage of energy in the DPRK is chiefly attributable to the
fact that the United States is
dragging out the implementation of its commitment to provide the DPRK with
heavy oil and light water
reactors though the DPRK halted the construction of its self-supporting
nuclear power facilities under the
agreement it reached with the U.S. reconciliation and contact between the
north and the south of Korea are
being promoted but many obstacles are still lie in the way of Korea's
reunification. The major hurdle to
Korea's reunification is the U.S. forces' presence in South Korea.
All misfortune and sufferings of the DPRK are resulting from the
economic blockade of the imperialists
against it and natural disasters. It is, therefore, the sacred duty of the
world communists and adherents to
socialism to defend socialist Korea and support the just struggle of the
Korean people.

Meari firing establishment

Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- There is the Meari firing
establishment in Chongchun Street in
Mangyongdae district, Pyongyang.
The establishment covering at least 10,000 square metres has indoor and
outdoor firing grounds.
In the indoor firing ground 10 shooters can have 50 and 25 metre
rifle-and pistol-firing practices at a
time.
It is well soundproofed. Both shooters and spectators can watch targets
and points on a large television
screen.
In the outdoor firing ground 15 shooters can fire at targets 15-50
metres away from them.
Telescopes are installed on the firing line for shooters.
    Correction firing is also possible.
Seats and counters are available for spectators in the outdoor firing
ground.
Different kinds of amusement and game equipment and facilities are also
available at the Meari firing
establishment.

conferred upon those units that
have achieved spectacular achievements in the fields of science, technology
and literature and art.
Recently the unit produced the mass gymnastic display and artistic
performance "Ever-victorious
Worker's Party of Korea" which was presented at the May Day Stadium packed
to capacity.
It was praised by spectators as the best masterpiece for its good
combination of gymnastics and dances
and successful introduction of a huge slide and film projector for strong
effect on the background and other
means.
The unit has creation and production, gymnastics, background and music
departments, an orchestra and
a part-time sports school. It is playing a great role in the dissemination
of mass gymnastic display not only at
home but overseas.
It has helped at least 40 countries in the creation of more than 90
mass gymnastic displays, thus
contributing to strengthening friendship, unity and cooperation with those
countries.
It was awarded "Kim Il Sung Order" in November, Juche 74 (1985).

separado a aquellos.
