formulated by Kim Jong Il, the outstanding leader of the present era. He
also expressed his full support to the
Korean people's cause of reunification.

Modern chicken factory commissioned

Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- An ultra modern chicken factory was
commissioned.
The factory called chicken factory no. 112 is located at the foot of a
mountain on the east coast.
Figures 112 mean Nov. 2. On Nov. 2 this year General Secretary Kim Jong
Il gave on-the-spot guidance
to the completed factory and on the same day last year a ground breaking
ceremony of the factory was held.
The factory covers an area of over 25,000 square meters.
The factory looks picturesque as its buildings stand at the foot of a
hill near a lake, tree-lined roads
stretch in its compound and it has nice fences.
The factory has breeding, egg-laying, fattening, meat processing,
assorted feed and other modern shops.

All its production processes from feed processing to feed and water
supply, hatching, meat and egg
production, conveying and packing, lighting, temperature and humidity
regulation and sewage disposal are
computerized.
At the fattening shop a worker is in charge of 25,000 chickens. Every
chicken is raised for 42 days till it
weighs over 2 kg.
At the egg-laying shop more than 30,000 eggs are produced every day
while 1,000 chicken are
processed per hour at the meat processing shop.
A feed tank at the assorted feed shop with a storing capacity of 1,000
tons can provide necessary feed
any time.
The computerization of the chicken factory is one of the greatest
achievements made in the development
of the nation's poultry industry.
Such chicken factories and stockbreeding centers are successfully
operating in various parts of the
country and new ones are under construction across the country.

Kimchi making brisk all over country

Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- Families, restaurants and hotels in
the Democratic People's
Republic of Korea are busy preparing winter Kimchi (pickled vegetable).
Kimchi is one of the traditional Korean dishes.
Kimchi is prepared mainly with Korean cabbages and radishes. And hot
red pepper, garlic, onion, ginger
and meat, fish, pickled fish and other nutritive substance are added to it.
Kimchi which can be made regardless of season is good for health as it
promotes appetite.
It contains a lot of vitamin C and mineral which keeps the balance
between acid and alkali in human
body.
Kimchi is known to have scores of varieties.
Kimchi is prepared as a non-staple food for winter. It is meant for
consumption for five months from
November to March next year. That is why it is called a half-year food.
Typical of Kimchi for winter are unsliced cabbage Kimchi, pickled
sliced radishes and cabbages
seasoned with pepper (Sokbakji), pickles wrapped in a large cabbage like a
bundle (Possam Kimchi) and
radishes pickled in salt water (Tongchimi).
Unsliced cabbage Kimchi prepared with various ingredients is main
winter Kimchi.
To make this kind of Kimchi it is necessary to keep cabbages in salt
water for more than 24 hours before
washing and put a proportionate mixture of seasoning between the leaves of
the halved cabbages before
putting them into a large earthenware jar. Sliced radishes are put also
into it.
It is necessary to properly season all of them with salt after a few
days before keeping the jar tightly
covered. It can be taken 10 days later.
    Sokbakji is also called Ssoregi.
To make Possam Kimchi it is necessary to put a good mixture of
seasonings between the leaves of
pickled cabbages and cut them into pieces before wrapping them with big
cabbage leaves.
To make Tongchimi it is important to put unsliced radishes into a jar
and properly season with salt water.

Also popular are sliced radishes Kimchi and leaf mustard Kimchi.
Kimchi is well known to other Asian countries and European countries
for its special taste and good
effect on human health.

Remarks of U.S. ambassador to S. Korea

Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- The U.S. ambassador to South Korea
reportedly asserted at an
"international seminar on security" sponsored by the "South Korea-U.S.
Security Research Council" some
time ago that the DPRK may easily change its decision though progress has
been made in the DPRK-U.S.
relations.
This provocative remark is a very improper behaviour as it casts doubt
about the DPRK's faith and
efforts for the improvement of the DPRK-U.S. relations. It is no more than
a sheer jargon reflecting the
position of the right-wing forces who are still seized with enmity toward
the DPRK.
Then, what is the real intention of the ambassador groundlessly
spreading such rumour of the DPRK's
"possible change of decision"?
It is, in fact, not the DPRK but the United States that has not kept
the promise and faith over the past
years. As for the construction of light water reactors to be provided under
the DPRK-U.S. agreed
framework, the U.S. has not fulfilled its commitment.
According to Kyodo, a member of the EU Parliament from the British
Labour Party, who visited the
DPRK from Oct. 31 to Nov. 4 as a member of the EU Parliamentary delegation,
said that "the LWR project is
unlikely to be finished before 2010." His statement indicates that it is
hard to guess when the project will be
finished and that the project may be baffled in the long run.
Such being the case, the U.S. ambassador well informed of the situation
did not mention it but picked a
quarrel with the DPRK which has honestly implemented so far its commitment
made to the U.S. his
impudent deed of going against the trend of the times was evidently
prompted by an insidious political
purpose.
This can never be a solution to any issue. And this does not work on
anybody.

Reckless remarks of S. Korean Red Cross President

Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- Those who are due to go to Seoul as
members of the second
visiting group of separated families and relatives are bitterly denouncing
the president of the South Korean
Red Cross who in a recent interview with the October issue of "Monthly
Korea" slandered the political
system in the north and way of life under socialism of Korean style.
Kim Tok Hwan, worker of the management section of the Pyongyang Silk
Mill, had this to say:
We are bitterly angered by the official statement made by the President
of the South Korean Red Cross in
a press interview in which he slandered the DPRK's dignified political
system and way of life under
man-centred socialism of Korean style.
This is a blatant challenge to the people and system in the north and
an unbearable insult to us who are
leading an independent and dignified life in the north, in particular.
It is hard to settle such humanitarian issues as alleviating misfortune
and sufferings of the separated
families and relatives as long as the man who described the noble
humanitarian work as sort of confrontation
between the two systems remains the president of the South Korean Red Cross.
Saying that he was shocked and infuriated by the remarks made by the
president of the South Korean
Red Cross, Yun Yong Hun residing in Pongsu-dong, Wonsan, noted: His remarks
were contrary to the spirit
of the north-south joint declaration. It is hard to expect that he would
fulfil his duty to implement the
declaration.
He should officially apologize to the whole nation for behaving in
contravention of the basic spirit of the
declaration.

Devoted efforts for national reunification called for

Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- Nothing is more honorable and
worthwhile than devoting oneself
to national reunification as member of the Korean nation, says Rodong
Sinmun today in a signed article.
    It goes on:
Devotedly working for national reunification means patriotism because
to defend the sovereignty of the
nation and aspire after great national unity means patriotism.
National reunification is, in essence, an issue of establishing the
sovereignty of the nation throughout
Korea.
The Korean people's struggle for national reunification is a sacred
struggle for establishing the
sovereignty of the nation throughout Korea because it is the historic
desire of the nation and a basic condition
for the independence and sovereignty of the country and its prosperity and
development to establish
sovereignty. That is why Korea should be reunified independently in any
case. The destiny of the Korean
nation and its development and prosperity can be guaranteed only when the
independent reunification of the
country is achieved to establish the sovereignty of the nation. And this
means noblest patriotism.
The sovereignty that keeps the nation alive is guaranteed by the great
unity of the nation and this unity
provides a decisive guarantee for the independent development and
prosperity of the nation.
The great unity of the nation provides for the destiny of the nation
and its dignity and patriotism.
It is true patriotism to struggle for national reunification and one
who devotedly works for it is a genuine
patriot.

Workers' rally in S. Korea

Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- At least 20,000 unionists under the
South Korean Confederation
of Trade Unions (KCTU) held a workers' rally in Seoul on November 12 in
protest against the authorities'
unilateral restructuring and retrogressive revision of the labour law,
according to Radio No.1 of South Korea.

The chairman of the KCTU stated that it is opposed to the restructuring
which invites only serious
unemployment and the retrogressive revision of the labour law, appealing to
the Federation of South Korean
Trade Unions to form joint headquarters of struggle.
At the end of the rally its participants marched towards Myongdong
Cathedral.
Over 20 unionists were wounded in the clash with police.

For Spanish-speaking people

planta avicola no.112

construyen aceleradamente otras nuevas.

convencer a nadie.
