NA concludes discussions on socio-economy, State budget The National Assembly (NA) concluded discussions on the implementation of the socio-economic tasks and the State's budget this year, plans and tasks for next year and the State's budget balance of last year at the end of November 20, the sixth working day of its on-going session. The plenum was chaired by NA Deputy Chairman Mai Thuc Lan. Twenty one deputies from 17 provinces and cities contributed their opinions, focusing on the structure of agricultural production, the implementation of seedlings and cattle, the consumption of agricultural products and the overcoming of the irrational allocation and use of land, particularly in mountainous areas. Some deputies voiced their ideas on the infrastructure construction, particularly in provinces suffering great damage from the recent floods and storms, the socialisation of health services and the in-depth investment and exploitation of potentials of each region and each area with the aim of concentrating the resources to successfully implement the socio-economic tasks and the State's budget next year. Deputies also mentioned the education in the mountainous areas, the implementation of priority policy for children of ethnic minority people living in areas of socio-economic difficulties and goods' price and postage subsidies for the mountainous areas. The promotion of scientists' role in the national industrialisation and modernisation was also highlighted at the session. Some others raised their opinions on the equitisation, the selling and leasing of State-owned-enterprises (SOEs) as well as the increase of capacity and efficiency of SOEs.
