THE AUTHORITIES ARE CONTINUING THEIR MASSACRE - HALIL ONDER, DEATH FAST RESISTER IN CEYHAN PRISON, FELL A MARTYR ON THE 68TH DAY After the Usak Prison Death Fast resister Berrin BICKILAR, Halil ONDER, member of the First Death Fast Team in Ceyhan Prison, has also fallen martyr while refusing to accept forcible medical treatment on the 68th day. The murderous government is saying the Death Fasters "have burned themselves" and "nobody is dying on the Death Fast" in an attempt to conceal their own lies. They could not break the resistance with their murderous assault, on the contrary, it is even growing, and so now the authorities are trying to silence the voice of the resistance with censorship and lies. They are showing that they are the most immoral enemy in the world. But in vain. Just as we are defending ourselves against their tyranny we are also defending ourselves against their immorality. The state stands for immorality, lies and massacres. We stand for honour, resistance, morality and the refusal to bow to oppression. The resolve of our resisters on their march towards death has exposed all the enemy's lies. The enemy is savagely but helplessly attacking our resisters while trying to calculate how long they can keep it a secret. We cannot see these attempts to engage in medical intervention by force anywhere else in the world, only in Hitler's government in Germany can we see this form of tyranny and torture. In the 'F' Type Nazi concentration camps, in the hospitals, in the concentration camps for women prisoners, the resistance is continuing to grow. We are continuing to die. On Bayram (the Islamic holiday currently in progress) our funerals will also take place. No violence, no tyranny can break revolutionary willpower. We will continue to use our right to resist right until the end. We will continue to make use of the most sacred and indispensable right in the world. Nobody can destroy or hold in contempt the right to resist. Those who want to destroy it, those who want to hold it in contempt are fascists. The Nazi fake government took from them everything necessary to sustain human life, engaging in every form of tyranny and torture, but they still cannot succeed in breaking the resistance. A large number of Death Fast resisters are on the point of losing consciousness. The limited amount of information that lawyers and prisoners' families have obtained about the prisoners is being passed on to public opinion. Forty captives turned their hunger strike which had lasted 30 days, into a Death Fast on November 19. And for them, December 26 is the 68th day. Four of them were killed in the attacks on December 19-22. 60 captives started the Death Fast between November 22-25 and they are now between the 62nd and 65th day of the Death Fast. Of these, one is very close to death and others are on the brink of death because of the torture of forcible medical intervention. > LIE 3: It is a lie that "forcible medical intervention" is designed to "save human life"! > This is a lie; they slaughtered something like 30 people while "saving" them. This is a lie; they say we are doing this intervention in the Death Fast to save people, but hundreds of Death Fast resisters were put into the 'F' Type cells which are like Nazi camps. The MHP (Nationalist Movement Party - fascist, hence the "compassion" towards revolutionary prisoners) > Minister of Health Durmus is finding doctors who think like he does, saying, > "if we let their own will prevail they will die on hunger strike, if we force-feed them some of them will kick the bucket and others will be left handicapped." Whoever remains silent about this is an accomplice in this policy of having them "kick the bucket". This is the situation: before the attack was launched to intervene, NONE OF THE PRISONERS HAD DIED. > The "rescue" operation to intervene killed something like 30 prisoners. Finally, the rescue operation in Usak resulted in the slaughter of Yasemin CANCI and Berrin BICKILAR who were on the Death Fast. The number is continuing to grow. > These are not just numbers: THESE ARE THE LIVES OF OUR PEOPLE! We call on all doctors to stop these tortures and massacres and not be disrespectful of prisoners' will and right to resist. > LIE 4: An example of this is the claim that in the operations between December 19 and 22, the authorities showed "compassion" and "maximum care". Let us read the following: "A trained team of gendarmes, before the operation started at about 4:30 in the morning, gave notice to the people working in the prison such as guards and the administration that the dormitories and corridors were to be emptied, otherwise they too would be treated as terrorists." (December 25, Hurriyet newspaper) Look what a bunch of gangsters they are during operations, when they are even prepared to "warn" the prison staff like that! So it is clear that they were not treating people like "sons and daughters", as claimed by some media organs, but as "terrorists". > LIE 5: "They burned their friends. burned them. burned them." This is a lie that the media are using over and over again, believing that if they say it often enough it will be the truth. They have been using this same lie over and over again without any information, documents, observation, witnesses or proof. They burned their friends. Nothing like that happened, nor is such a situation possible. The media and the captives are better acquainted with savagery than anybody else. They experienced it at Ulucanlar. They had the best experience of operations that turn into massacres. That is why some prisoners, to put a stop to this savage attack, did the best thing that an entire generation could do, which is to sacrifice themselves for their friends and their people. The claim that they "burned their friends" is a vile slander. They do not believe that a human being could display such bravery, self-sacrifice, and extraordinary willpower, they know nothing other than inventing these slanders to blacken revolutionaries. On Star TV, Ugur Dundar is trying to distort the truth: a picture of Fidan Kalsen was shown, the hands of whose corpse were giving the victory sign, and he claimed her friends had tied her up. And an anonymous letter to the Star newspaper (December 25) claimed that her friends had tied her hands in that position before her death and then set her on fire. Then the media had problems with this explanation so they said that Fidan Kalsen was killed by her friends first and then set on fire. Everybody knows that Fidan Kalsen stood like a monument while engaging in her brave resistance. Money is worth a thousand lies. The Star newspaper finished its news item in the same way. "Kekil Kalsen, when he saw his daughter in her coffin, could not say a word." In an earlier statement we explained the lies about Kikel Kalsen, but in a footnote to this statement we will expose how IMMORAL THIS INVENTED NEWS IS. LIE 6: This is a "religious" lie! If you recall, the Minister of Religious Affairs Nuri Yilmaz said a few weeks ago that the hunger strike is a sin. Now he has come out onto the stage to whitewash the government's massacres and interventions. He said in a statement on December 25 that "from the point of view of religion it is necessary to intervene because human life is sacred, because people's lives do not just belong to them but also belong to society". Good morning, Mr Yilmaz! Where were you when people's lives given them by God were taken away by the state and the Susurluk murderers on the streets, in the torture centres and in the prisons of this country? Or were people's lives not sacred then? Has the sacredness of life only just become a revelation for you, Mr Yilmaz? If you have the slightest gram of religious belief, do not use your religion as an aid to others who commit tortures and massacres. Which religion says that you can go into the prisons and slaughter 30 people? Which religion says that you can behave tyrannically towards the prisoners that you hold? If you are practising religious affairs, you should know your place. Do not say anything about the Death Fast because it is a subject for lawyers and doctors, do not try to be a government clown in the name of religion. > LIE 7: The lie that "it is a crime to support those who are on the Death Fast". The Justice Minister Sami Turk issued a statement on December 24 threatening all persons and democratic instititutions which support the Death Fasters or support their demands, saying they are guilty of a crime. > The result of this is that Turk said "the Death Fast is suicide, to encourage suicide is contrary to the law, so defending the Death Fast is a crime.". This is called the "logic of aristocrats". Let us recall past examples of this from the philosophy textbooks in school: "Rare things are valuable. To find a blind horse is a rare thing, so a blind horse is a valuable thing." This is the logic of Hikmet Sami Turk. no, it is not a crime to support the Death Fast and the captives, not even according to their laws. Threats, intimidation, orders and directives like martial law ones, bans on political parties and associations "based on information of unknown origin". There is no point in trying to understand the intentions of the government. They are trying to destroy the right to resist and the right to be free. They will not be successful. We will continue to resist and continue to make use of our most natural human rights. Those who are on the side of rights and freedoms, progressives, democratic institutions, the most they can do is open 'F' Type prisons which resemble Nazi camps. And even there the people are resisting bravely. There is no force that can prevent this resistance. TELL THE TRUTH!
