Greetings one and all,

Ive been meaning to write on the subject which
may well prove to be one of the most if not the
most important development since 1945 that
is the recent formation of the 'Euro-Army'.

The North Atlantic Treaty Alliance was formed
as we know after the war as a military pact between
US and Western Europe.

Some would argue as representing the politico-
economic interests of what is today European
Union and North American Free Trade Agreement.

But as has been pointed out, while presenting
a united front to the World NATO has never been
wholly free from internal division.

The France-Germany military pact has been one
but also more generalised economic disparity
including a certain ammount of 'trade-war' between
Europe and US.

Growing tension between the 2 great imperial power
blocs currencies - the Dollar and the Euro.

Quite accute tension over US 'Star Wars II' missile
programme.

If I might say that the UK, although being technically
in EU does seem to treasure its 'Special Relationship'
with US and is never quite sure whether to side with
Brussels or Washington.

The formation of the Euro-Army appears to be a
catagoric rupture in this NATO-split.

The formation of the Euro-Army undermines the
very foundation of NATO - as one French Minister
put it - "NATO is not even on the Euro-Army train".

This being the case then we can expect to see 2
very distinct expressions of interest emerge between
NAFTA and EU namely:

On the ground in Eastern Europe.

Iraq.

Indonesia.

At the United Nations.

Increased EU-NAFTA trade war.

Increased Dollar-Euro currency war.

Also - Eastern Countries, South America, Africa.

And we dont need a history book to tell us where
this trajectory leads to sooner or later.

Would we expect an official pronouncement
of the dissolution of NATO? - this is very unlikely
as neither side would gain any immediate
advantage from doing so although, reading between
the lines some officials have already let the cat out
of the bag.

There being no NATO to STOP also signals the demise
for example, of the
STOPNATO List - this is one death of course we
we can heartily cheer but as is already happening
to some extent, our attentions are already being
drawn by the increasing EU-NAFTA conflict and
how it is affecting the people of Eastern Europe and
elsewhere.

Possibly now - how this will affect the people of Western
Europe and North America.

As we hear now the recession is finally paying its
visit to US - which can only serve to accelerate
developments apace.

Bill.
