Results of negotiations for revision of "status of forces agreement" rejected Pyongyang, January 3 (KCNA) - The National Alliance for Democracy and Reunification made public a statement on December 29, 2000, rejecting the results of South Korea-U.S. negotiations for revision of the "status of forces agreement," according to Seoul-based "Yonhap News" (internet). The statement said that the revision of the "agreement" through negotiations is no more than the creation of a new mechanism craftily misrepresenting and violating our sovereignty. The six-year-long negotiations finally ended in retrogressive revision, the statement said, adding that the organisation will fight till national sovereignty is restored. Day of Buddha's attainment of great wisdom marked Pyongyang, January 3 (KCNA) -- Masses were held at temples across the country on January 2 to commemorate the day of Buddha's attainment of great wisdom, 2545 B.E.
