Uzbek and U.S. servicemen are taking part. Uzbekistan's military partnership with other states and authoritative international organizations are a constituent part of the country's foreign policy and are aimed at guaranteeing the country's national security and reinforcing peace and stability in Central Asia. The Ultrabalance-2001 joint cooperation exercises which serve these purposes are notable for their wide scale. The exercises consist of both theoretical and practical training, and servicemen from both states are exchanging experience in giving medical aid, field engineering work, operations in mountainous areas, search and rescue work and firing from various arms. The Uzbek and U.S. servicemen are exchanging views on the new achievements of military science and analyzing combat actions in the world's conflict zones. The joint exercises on how to organize new special and tactical exercises and how to be ready to repulse possible threats are continuing.
