HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION Nose of an innocent wife was completely cut by her husband: KARACHI, Pakistan: Human Rights organization �Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International� is providing medical assistance, shelter and legal aid to an innocent woman, whose nose was cut by her husband in Awami Colony, Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi. According to details, one Mir Afzal, son of Wali Mohammad, with a sharp knife cut off completely the nose of his wife Amroz Khatoon with the help of his brothers, Abdul Ghani, Bashir and Gulzaman. Mir Afzal attempted to kill his wife, but on her hue and cry, neighbours gathered around. But unfortunately, the nose of the wife had already been cut off. After having come to know of the matter, the volunteers and staff of the �Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International� took the lady to a hospital where she was admitted in a serious condition. The matter has already been reported to the concerned Police Station and necessary FIR No 159/2001 has also been lodged in Police Station Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi. The police arrested her accused husband along with his brother Gul Zaman, whereas the remaining two accused are absconder. Currently Ms Amroz Khatoon is receiving life threats from the absconders. The volunteers and staff of the Ansar Burney Trust are also receiving such threats. Meanwhile the human rights activist Ansar Burney, Advocate has demanded justice with the victim. He also demanded for the immediate arrest of all other accused without any further delay. Ansar Burney also announced to arrange plastic surgery forthe innocent lady in Karachi on the expenses of Ansar Burney Trust.
