Subject: Re: [Cuba SI] COLD WAR II AGAINST CHINA?

Hi all! I am writing to clarify something in my mind. From what I've been
hearing from the media China sounds like it'd like to be as imperialist as
the USA is currently.

There is a difference between "like to be" and
'already is' - isn t there?

I will admit that all of these sources are from US
media., and I could be completely wrong. I have been before. It wouldn't
be the first time the US media has mislead me.
It seemed through the spy incident that both sides were vying for power.
The US trying to spy on what they could in international waters near China,
and China not wanting them even near there territory even if it was in
international waters.

Was the island upon which the plane landed
    in international waters?

It really worries me for world piece and stability.

Can you point me to 'world peace and stability'.

Both nations seem headed toward a dangerous course too me.

But is it an identical course?

I figure it may
take some years of the heat building before it gets real bad, but it looks
like confrontations between the US and China may only get worse in the
future.

The US has publicly stated that it is switching
from concentrating on Russia to concentrating
on China - but has China made a similar declaration?

What do you all think? Do I have China all wrong wanting to be an
imperial power?

Imperial powers occupy other countries by
armed force, terrorise countries with bombing
raids and use other countries as colonies -
    does China show such traits?

Of course the USA has had know challenge since the Soviet
union, so they certainly don't want one from China.

What was the 'challenge' from Russia?

    Inquisitively,

    Bill.
