On April 7, Timothy Thomas, an unarmed youth, was the fourth African-American shot to death in five months. Eight-hundred people were arrested in the three days of protests that followed Thomas' murder. Many are still in jail and face long jail terms. Thomas' mother, Angela Lynch, will lead the march and speak at the rally, along with the Rev. Damon Lynch III, pastor of the New Prospect Baptist Church and leader of the Black United Front. Over 50 groups and individuals are mobilizing for the June 2 march, which will gather at 11 am at Fountain Square at 5th and Vine in downtown Cincinnati.
