The Israeli soldiers shelled inhabited areas in Deir Al-Balah and Halhol in Hebron; the thing that caused severe damages to many of the houses of the area. The Israeli bulldozers as well started washing away many agricultural lands in Abud village at Ramallah and uprooted more than 2000 olive trees from those lands; this comes within the sweeping campaign of the Israeli Forces which aim at uprooting the Palestinian people from their lands. **** Date: June 11, 2001 Tulkarem: Palestinian Sick Citizen Was Martyred At An Israeli Barrier After The Israeli Soldiers Prevented him From Reaching the Hospital. Palestinian citizen, Sabri Ameen Mahmood Awad, from Arrass village at Tulkarem Governorate, was martyred before he could reach the National Hospital at Nablus on the specific time in which he was supposed to go under a hemodialisis operation. This was due to the Israeli hindrances to the Ambulance car, which was carrying him; the thing which resulted as a result of the several Israeli barriers existing between Nablus and Tulkarem. Friends of the martyr mentioned that the martyr was forced to stay at Tulkarem the night before yesterday's because Arras village, which is located in the area of Al-Kafriat, was besieged by three Israeli military checkpoints separating the village from Tulkarem Dr. Ghassan El-Massri, director of the National Hospital, mentioned that the martyr was among kidney patients, who are used to going under regular operations of hemodialisis three times a week. Dr. El-Massri said that the exhaustion, which the martyr suffered from in order to reach the Hospital, caused him a decrease in the rate of potassium; the thing which affected his heart.
