Copenhagen, June 9th 2001.

         Congratulations Ireland! -and congratulations Denmark!

Once again a small country has put the brakes on the development of the
European Union, and to
the Irish people we say: Well done! Now it must be realised in the
offices of governments that the
peoples of Europe do not want a European cooperation under the terms
dictated by the
European Union.

Through the Irish No, the Nice Treaty is annulled, and with it the
changes of the EU-structures,
which the Nice Treaty should secure - all under the pretence of the
so-called East Enlargement.

The charter of "fundamental rights", adopted together with the Nice
Treaty, represent the
preparation of a genuine constitution for the EU to be adopted in 2004.
This also must be stopped
now!

The changes of structures within the Union, through new rules of voting,
and the abolition of the
right of a veto in important matters, would have diminished the
influence of the smaller countries
significantly. At the same time, the Rome Treaty's goal of a "constantly
closer cooperation" would
actually have had an impact for instance on the tax policy of the
member-countries, and thereby
on the public budgets. In Denmark, the "measures for the freedom of
movement of labour" would
have gained a still stronger influence on the Danish labour market
model, - meaning our collective
rights.

In spite of this, the Danish people was not given the choice of a
referendum. That is why our joy in
the Irish No is double. It is as great an encouragement to the Danish
and the European resistance,
as was the Danish No to the Euro last year.

Let us enforce the European resistance - we shall meet in G?teborg!Stop
the EU!
