Subject: [Imcuk public] SPECIFIC INFO ABOUT THE ACTIONS IN BARCELONA ON 24-25 JUNE.

Translation from spanish:

FOR ALL THOSE WHO WANT SPECIFIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE ACTIONS IN
BARCELONA ON SUNDAY 25 AND MONDAY 26.
LA BORSA O LA VIDA CALL TO ACTION.
CAMPAIGN BCN-2001.

This information refers only to the actions on the 24-25 June. The
counter conference on 22-23, and the unitarian demonstration on the
morning 25 will go ahead as planned. For more information on these visit
www.rosadefoc.org and www.barcelona.indymedia.org. For information in
english only see www.indymedia.org.uk (international page) and
www.j25.org.

First of all, the general idea for the actions on the 24-25 is to have
spaces for all these involved, and diversity on the tactics used.

After the Popular Trial of the WB in the Pa. Catalunya on the afternoon
of Sunday 24 at 6pm, a festive Carnival will start with a bus
sound-system -8,000 watts- in which live bands will play at around 8pm.
We want this to be a non-violent, festive Carnival, and for this we are
negotiating an official permit. The route of the Carnival will be quite
short, and we will eventually stop in front of the Stock Exchange
building, where we will start a Popular Dinner for all those present. We
will eventually move back to Pa. Catalunya where we will camp for the
night (for security reasons we thought it better not to camp in front of
the Stock Exchange)

The approach for Mondays actions its a bit more confrontational: at 9am
we will gather in Pa. Universitat. We will then advance to the Stock
Exchange for our Guided Tour. We are working hard on not mixing
different spaces or tactics, and for this we will create two different
columns: one based on non-violent and confrontational attitude, the other
more open to different strategies.. This is Plan A for Monday.

There also exists a Plan B (that we can not announce here for obvious
reasons) that we will put into place in case of not being many people in
the action. In any case, for the moment we continue the preparations for
Plan A without much hesitation or many withdrawals (all the groups and
collectives maintain the call for action, although some of them may not
come with as many people as before the WB cancelled their conference)

As for us in the Actions Commission, we are still working on the
Convergence Centre (which will be in the Central University but we are
still checking on which conditions), and also working out the final
routes of the two blocks.

The motivation for these actions are: a big party/carnival with a
sound-system and live bands first, a mediterranean dinner later, and a
Call to Action on Monday. We want to make sure we all have a space for
this, from partying to action, from one type or confrontation to another.

We propose mutual respect and horizontal coordination. There will be a
general assembly in the Convergence Centre during the weekend 24-25 to
finalise the coordination, but we strongly believe that we should agree
on some general coordination before that.

For this you are all invited to express your ideas, opinions and proposals
on this Call to Action to the following email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or to
participate in the meetings every Wednesday at 7.30pm at Joaquim Costa,
24. Alternatively you can call us on 93-3249860.

Stay for the Carnival, party and Camp on Sunday night!
Participate in the La Borsa o La Vida Call to Action on Monday!
