From: Walter Lippmann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> GRANMA June 29, 2001 Fidel leads an act of protest in front of the U.S. Interests Section President Fidel Castro lead a combative act, at the Jos� Mart� Anti-Imperialist Tribunal in front of the U.S. Interests Section of Havana, in protest of the unjust accusations against the five Cubans held in the dismal and dark labyrinth of the Miami prison system. Some 40,000 Havana residents from the municipalities of Plaza, Old Havana, Centro Havana and Cerro filled the historic location to demonstrate solidarity with the patriots unjustly accused of espionage, when in reality they were combating the Miami terrorism tolerated by U.S. authorities. Members of the Political Bureau, state leaders and heads of the mass and social organizations were also present at the patriotic and multitudinous protest.
