Police attacks demo of 100-150.000 people

More reports about the police brutality in Genoa came in today and
most speak about overexcessive force by police. After the killing of
one demonstrator yesterday, it was reported from Genoa that
police violence INCREASED, rather than decreased, what would
have been expected. Wounded people were taken out of hospitals
and arrested. The police attacks in many occasions came on non-
violent groups, whereas the more aggresive demonstrators were left
alone. This struck demonstrators as bizarre.
It is reported that even the big demonstration of today got
attacked by police! Most reports mention a number between 100-
200.000 people (only Dutch radio mentions 60.000 people)
gathered today in Genoa. Massive loads of teargas were launched
at them.
The girl who got a teargasgrenade against her head yesterday is
reported to be still in coma. Many people appear to get badly
beaten on their heads and backs, and there are many seriously
wounded people.
