B'tselem: The Israeli Military Barriers Cause Death to Many Palestinian
Patients

A report, published by the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in
the Occupied Territories, declared that the Center has accredited documents
of the Israeli hindrances of the Palestinian ambulances and medical staff,
the thing that threatens the life of the Palestinian patients.
The Report mentioned the death story of Child Isra Barkat Ahmed from Nablus
who passed away after being hindered by the Israeli soldiers for 45 minutes
in spite of her dangerous health condition. Isra's father said in his
testimony to B'tselem that the Israeli soldiers refused to let them pass the
barrier despite his appeals to the soldiers. Isra's father added that the
Israeli soldiers did not check his identity or the car, which means that
they intended to hinder their movement. The medical resources at the
National Hospital at Nablus asserted that Child Isra had passed away before
she arrived the hospital.
In another example of the Israeli hindrance of the Palestinian patients, the
report mentioned the death story of Kefah Zoghrob from Gaza who passed away
as a result of the Israeli hindrance on El-Tofah military barrier at
El-Mawasi area at Gaza. Kefah was hindered for 2 hours until the Israeli
soldiers allowed them to go to the hospital. His father asserted that he
called the ambulance that carried his son and was informed of his son's
death before arriving the Hospital.
However, the report has many testimonies that assert the Israeli involvement
in killing the patients as they hinder their arrival to hospitals.
