OVER 120,000 PEOPLE LEAVE THEIR HOMES IN MACEDONIA
SOFIA, JULY 28. /FROM RIA NOVOSTI'S CORRESPONDENT YURI
KOVALENKO/ -- In Macedonia more than 120,000 have left
their homes as a result of the six months of crisis
there. This was reported on Friday in Skopje by the
office of the United Nations' high commissioner for
refugees. 
According to it, 35,000 refugees have been registered
in Macedonia proper.
Many of the refugees -- approximately 60,000 -- have
settled in Kosovo. Macedonian refugees can be found
also in Yugoslavia, Turkey, Croatia, Bulgaria,
Albania. Several thousand citizens of Macedonia have
left for West Europe, though the UN high
commissioner's office cannot say how many.
Approximately 15,000, mostly Albanian refugees have
returned to the country, reports the office.
