KCNA on U.S.-Japan military nexus
Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- U.S. State Secretary Powell at a
meeting held on Sept. 8 to mark the 50th anniversary of the "Japan-U.S.
security pact" said that powerful U.S.-Japan military alliance is essential
for pursuance of the U.S. East Asia policy concerning China and North Korea.
Earlier, high-ranking officers of the U.S. military flew Japan and
underscored the importance of military tie-up between the U.S. and Japan and
the Japanese authorities hailed it.
Why are the U.S. and the Japanese authorities clamouring for the
strengthening of military alliance all of a sudden?
Celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the "security pact" turned out
to be a serious point at issue. The U.S. attempt to convert Japan, its
junior, into a military power and use it in establishing its military
domination over the East Asian region fell in line with Japan's intention to
become a leader of the region with the backing of the U.S.
The U.S. strategy for world domination is, in general, to blockade and
collapse those independent countries disobedient to its domination and
militarize its satellite countries to use them as a means of domination and
interference. Typical of it is the U.S.-Japan relations, their military
nexus in particular.
Japan, a war criminal state, was not allowed internationally to rearm
itself after its defeat in the war.
But it has been rapidly rearmed under the "Japan-U.S. security pact" and
U.S. "care." and it has played the role of a "shock brigade" in implementing
the U.S. strategy for domination over East Asia.
The Japanese authorities are now so actively welcoming the U.S. attempt
in a bid to use the U.S. patronage and support as an opportunity for its
"second rearming" to become a perfect military giant.
Never should it go unnoticed that Powell underscored the need to "find a
way of coping with north Korea's possible challenges," while clamouring for
strengthened bilateral military tie-up.
This is little short of openly calling for defining the DPRK as the "no.
1 enemy" and isolating and stifling the DPRK with Japan as a "shock
brigade."
Now that the purpose pursued by the U.S. and Japan in strengthening
military nexus has become clear, the DPRK can not but take a strong measure
for self-defence and surrounding countries are also compelled to take a
corresponding countermeasure.

Japan urged to redress crimes
Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- Japan is attempting to take the road
of re-invasion, refusing to redress its past, an act that adds to its
shocking crimes, says Rodong Sinmun today. The news analyst says:
Only Japan, one of the countries that committed crimes of aggression in
the 20th century, still refuses to redress the past of aggression even in
the 21st century, the past of aggression that should have been redressed in
the 20th century.
For Japan to make an apology and compensate for its crimes of aggression
is an unavoidable legal and moral obligation and the urgent requirement of
the era.
The Japanese ruling quarters prompted by the ambition to restore the
order of the imperial domination over colonies are openly pursuing the
policy of re-invasion. That is the serious mistake in terms of policy.
The day when Japan becomes the "leader" of Asia will never come and the
attempt to realise the ambition by force of arms will lead Japan to
irrevocable self-destruction.
The way out for Japan to live in comfort is to redress its past crimes,
get confidence from its neighboring countries and live in harmony with them
and not turn to war with the backing of a big country.
In particular, Japan should redress at an early date its past crimes
against Korea, the nearest neighboring country and victim of the worst
scourge.
The DPRK-Japan relations will never be improved without settling the
issue of redress for the past.
Japan's refusal to redress its crimes and persistent pursuance of
hostile policy toward Korea will not be in favor of Japan.

Gift to Kim Jong Il from Indian President
Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il received a gift
from Indian President K.R. Narayanan. The gift was handed to DPRK foreign
minister Paek Nam Sun yesterday by Shashank, secretary for economic
relations of the Foreign Ministry of India who is heading the visiting
ministry delegation.

DPRK anniversary celebrated in Russia
Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held in Moscow on
September 5 under the sponsorship of the council of the Union of Communist
Parties-the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and the Russian Association
for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK to celebrate the 53rd
anniversary of the foundation of the DPRK. Speeches were made at the
meeting.
The chairman of the council of the Union of Communist Parties-the
Communist Party of the Soviet Union said that the DPRK founded by President
Kim Il Sung has been converted into the most powerful and greatest socialist
country under his wise leadership.
Leader Kim Jong Il, carrying forward the cause of the president, has
enhanced the international prestige of the DPRK and made epoch-making
achievements in the cause of national reunification, the chairman said, and
went on:
The Russia-DPRK Moscow declaration he adopted with the Russian leader
constitutes a foundation to develop cooperative relations between the two
peoples in all fields.
The vice-chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural
Cooperation with the DPRK sincerely wished the Korean people greater success
in their efforts to speed up the building of the socialist economy, national
defence and culture under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

September 27 Chicken Factory
Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- Soldier-builders have recently built
the September 27 Chicken Factory, a modern poultry base, at the foot of a
hill in Ryokpho district, Pyongyang, in less than one year. Breeding,
fattening and egg-laying pens have occupied a vast area in well-defined
framework. Many-storeyed hen-coops are well ventilated.
Temperature and humidity of pens, lighting, feed and water supply,
egg-laying, fattening, processing and all other production processes have
been automated.
Each breeder raises over 20,000 hens and a hen weighs more than 2 kg at
least 40 days after.
The factory produces tens of thousands of eggs a day.
Every 30 eggs are automatically packed.
Leader Kim Jong Il gave on-site guidance to the factory on September 5
and said it was good that solider-builders have built a fine hygienic and
cultural environment to suit the features of the factory, paying deep
attention to environmental adjustment. He called upon all chicken factories
to follow the model to spruce up factory compound.

U.S. projected redeployment of its forces in Asia-Pacific region under fire
Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- The United States is going to
redeploy its Europe-based troops and combat technical equipment in the
Asia-Pacific region including the Korean peninsula. In this regard Minju
Joson today in a signed commentary says:
The U.S. plan clearly shows that its strategy to dominate the world has
entered the phase of implementation.
The U.S. seeks to contain other big powers and establish its
unchallenged new Asia order even by igniting a war, if it deems necessary,
after deploying its troops and combat technical equipment in the Korean
peninsula, the world's most dangerous hotbed of war.
Taking serious note of the fact that the u.s. disclosed its intention to
militarily stifle the DPRK, the DPRK can not but react to it with high
vigilance and perfect combat posture.
The DPRK has already clarified its principled stand to respond to the
U.S. tough policy with a super hard-line stand.
This is not an empty word.
The U.S. imperialists should not run amuck if they do not want to meet
destruction.
