Arms buildup in S. Korea denounced
Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is going to additionally deploy
U.S. air force in South Korea under the pretext of filling up a military
vacuum on the Korean peninsula caused by the dispatch of the U.S. carrier
kitty hawk to middle east in retaliation against the attacks on the U.S.,
according to Seoul-based radio No.1. The U.S. and the South Korean military
authorities in a press release issued on Oct. 2 agreed to additionally beef
up the U.S. air force in a bid to minimize the military vacuum on the Korean
peninsula resulting from the redeployment of the carrier.
The South Korean Defense Ministry disclosed that some of the flying
corps and naval force belonging to the kitty hawk which left Japan would
remain in the west pacific ocean to strengthen the South Korea-U.S. "joint
defensive posture."
This is a dangerous move to drive the situation on the Korean peninsula
to the brink of war at any cost and the South Korean military authorities'
