Terrorism of GMA�s AFP and PNP instensifying in Southern Tagalog � Ka
Roger
The Communist Party of the Philippines, through its spokesperson
Gregorio �Ka Roger� Rosal, strongly condemned the continuing and
intensifying terrorism of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo�s mercenary Armed
Forces of the Philippines in Timog Katagalugan.
The number of human rights violations in the region has reached
93 this September 15. In these cases, 276 individuals in 20 communities
and 24 families were victimized in 61 incidents of military violence.
�Thirteen battalions (16th IB, 68th IB, 34th Special Forces
Company (SFC), 18th Scout Rangers Company (SRC), 2nd SRC, 6th SFC, 32nd
and 33rd Special Action Force (SAF) Coy of the 3rd Regional SAF Bn) of
the AFP and PNP deployed in 10 provinces in the region are in a race of
sowing terror,� said the spokesperson. The executioners� operations
have resulted to the death of numerous civilians suspected of being New
People�s Army (NPA) members or supporters and NPA fighters who have
turned hors d�combat (lost the capacity to fight). These operations
also killed then prisoner of war and soon to be released PCI Abelardo
Martin and a defenseless police of San Pablo City.
He added that the swift deplopyment in Mindoro Oriental last
April of more than ten companies, which all were taken from various
parts of the country, is the Government of the Republic of the
Philippines� (GRP) way of unleashing its wrath against the people of
Mindoro Oriental who showed their support and consciousness with regard
to the NPA�s release of prisoner of war Major Noel S. Buan on April 6,
2001.
�The militarists and terrorists within the GRP were totally
embarassed and could not accept the fact that the Melito Glor Command
was, in 22 months, able to accord a prisoner of war in Buan�s category
with satisfactory, lenient and humane treatment,� said Ka Roger.
Only some of the fascists� most recent cases were: abusing and
forcing a Mangyan to serve as their guide on September 27, illegally
arresting two women last September 30, abducting two suspected members
of the NPA last September 7 who had disappeared, and hurting and
threatening another civilian who refused to follow the orders of
soldiers last August.
The spokesperson castigated Macapagal-Arroyo�s all-out
endorsement and support of �her terrorist and mercenary soldiers�
despite her much-publicized �all-out peace�. Said he: �Widespread
terrorism and human rights violations prove that the real terrorists of
the Filipino people are the reactionary and mercenary AFP and PNP�
(and) the commander-in-chief � is lead puppet� Macapagal-Arroyo.�
Ka Roger also condemned Macapagal-Arroyo�s all-out support for
US imperialist terrorism: �The United States of America is the leading
terrorist given the level and scope on which it has focused and
destroyed since the 19th century until today.�
Ka Roger also said, �While the national and world crisis
becomes worse and deeper, the revolutionary movement of the masses will
advance the imperialist and socialist cause. He ended, �The
revolutionary movement led by the Party will continue to struggle
against any form of terrorism, wherever on earth it hails from.�
