The demise of communist legendery - NPR Cpim senior leader and one of the legendery figures of andhra communist movement com. Nanduri prasadarao passed away at 8.30pm on thurseday nov.29 at a private nursing home in hyderabad. He is ailing with illness for the last two and half months. He born in a orthodox mokasa family in Arugolanu a small village in krishna district in 1912 sept24. He along with com. Puchalapally sundarayya had worked hard in building of andhra communist movement form the beginning. He attracted towards freedom movement at his student age while he is studying his school education at gudivada and continued as an active participent of various campaigns through out his student carrier. Later on he gone to benarus hindu university for his higher studies where he attracted towards communism. From then he became a dedicated worker, agitator, organiser writer for the cause of down tradden. He dedicated his wealth for the developmment of party as he inspired by sundarayya. Till 80’s he goen through the jails, under ground, detentions. He became the then united communist party member in 1934. Then onwards he dedicated his life for the upliftment of downtrodden. He lead andhra pradesh kisan sabha for eight years in his capacity of general secretary, and state general secretery of ap agriculteral laborours union for four years. He served as all india precident to AIKS for 8 years and served for the post of international agriculteral proliteriat union precident for five years. >From 1970 to 1994 he worked as citu general secretery of ap unit. From 1953 onwards till 1998 in united communist party and later in cpim he served as central commite member and relived in 1998 due to his ill health. He is not only therotician but also agitator. He lead the famous Mnagala zmeen struggle and form part of leaders core in the historic telangana land strugglle. He came for open activity in 1952 only, till then he is in underground because of govt severe repression on the communist movement at that time. At the formation of cpim, when the leadership was in humanly detained, he lead the party activities at the helm of the party. He toured to then USSR, China, romenia, chekoslovekia, itely, germane and some other nations to study the proletetiat movements and living standerds of those people. He is verserile writer and interested in telugu lituretuere and philosophy. He autherd some of the basic books for the bigginers on marxist theroy. He demised at the age of 91 after suffuring a long illness. His demise is regretteble loss to the communist movement perticulerly in andharapradesh. The funeral will be taken place from party state unit office at hyderabad by 2pm on Friday.
