Mr. Rosenbaugh spoke first.He began by detailing what exactly imperialism is. Later he detailed Untied States Imperialism since 1950, from Eisenhower's CIA backed murder of Patrice Lumumba in the Congo, the Vietnam War,Carter and Reagan's Fascist aggression against Sandanista Rebels in Nicaragua, culminating with the events leading up to the current tragedy in Afghanistan. Mr. Rosenbaugh then pointed out the limitations attached on progressive movements who work strictly within State Sanctioned frame work.He ended his speech by calling for a militant anti-imperialist movement BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY, based on careful analysis of "strategies and tactics". When Ramona Africa spoke to the by the then packed crowd, she obviously displayed the spirit of Malcolm X,Marcus Garvey, and Harriet Tubman. She quoted the legendary MOVE founder, John Africa at many points in her speech, particularly when explaining "that God is Nature." In her analysis, "freedom is not defined as we are taught, but as "freedom for all life". She talked about her life prior to MOVE and the events leading to her Revolutionary convictions. With this message she commented that the problems youth face require Revolutionary examples set forth by the previous generations.Then Shortly before ending her emotional and education speech Ramona Africa proclaimed solidarity with The Zapatistas, AIM,ELF,ALF,Puerto Rican "Independantistas", and "the Grandmothers on Bear Mountain", among others.It was decided that a "Friends of MOVE" chapter should be formed. Following this Short Question and Answer period, was some poetic commentary by what appeared to be a young Middle Eastern male. Following the teach-in aspect of the anti-imperialist rally was a scheduled demonstration which met at the South park blocks, charged with the simple truths of Ramona Africa. A few "Anarchists?" pulled out nearly 50 upside down American Flags on poles, and it was explained that the wanted " the most upside down flags in history". The demonstrators chanted "NO MORE GENOCIDE!" and "BRING THE WAR HOME!'They marched past the justice center and federal building while a few notorious multinational corporations were "tagged" with red spray paint. The "Bumble Bees", or bicycle cops began to follow us. Eventually the demonstrators stopped in front of the Federal Building were the state sanctioned permit expired. The popular mandate of the vast majority of demonstrators was to continue their demonstration despite what was now mass police disapproval. Two blocks from Pioneer square the demonstrators, who had by then been marching in traffic for several hours, began a bon fire with their flags. People began to dance and cry. Despite the very young age of the majority of demonstrators, it was obvious that most understood the historic significance of their actions. Speeches were made decrying genocide against Columbia, particularly against women, children, and the indigenous groups. The demonstrators then bum rushed Pioneer Court house mall, chanting "BOMBS ARE DROPPING AS YOU'RE SHOPPING!" and "NO MORE GENOCIDE!" Shopping was halted for several minutes. The protesters made it out of the mall by exiting at just the right time.Then the demonstrators headed for Portland State University were they intended to disband safely at a public indoor area. The mood of the Police was different. The heroic and selfless demonstrators were up against Riot police with little "strategies or tactics" planed. It was decided to that this Militancy would be needed on a regular basis in order to defend our brothers and sisters in Somali,Iraq,North Korea, Cuba,Columbia, or wherever terrorists would next like to kill in the name of stopping terrorism. _________________________________________________ KOMINFORM P.O.
