HADEP, SP, EMEP, and ODP called on the public to sensitivity. MEHMET OZGUL ANAP Deputy Chairman Bulent Akarcali said that the real creators of the prison problem were those who called themselves social-democrats and democratic left. On the other hand HADEP, SP, ODP and EMEP called on the government to tkae action as sson as possible on the basis of "three doors, three locks" proposal of the bar associations and on the public to make pressure on the government. ANAP Spokesperson Akarcali stated that administration of prison were on the hands of parties that called themselves social-democrat and democratic left, adding that they shoulf answer the questions about the ongoing problems. Akarcali emphasized that there had been no such problems under their power. Akarcali continued to say the following: "Ask Erdal Inonu, Murat Karayalcin, Deniz Baykal, Hikmet Cetin. They held office between 1992-96. Ask justice ministers of the period. Ask Mogoltay and others. We did not declined any of their proposals on prisons." As for today, Akarcali had to say the following: "In coaltion governments every party is responsible only for ministries it holds. We do not avoid from the responsibility. But we do not have any authority in the other ministries." The spokesperson said on the death fast that the real authority on the matter was Justice Ministry, stressing the following: "But as ANAP we will not oppose to any solution but support it. But at first the ministry has to propose it. Turkey should overcome such problems respecting human rigts and with modern methods." Dialogue is not bargain but a rigtht Mehmet Bekaroglu, SP Deputy Chairman who has meet with death fasters before the December 19 Massacre, pointed out that 84 activists have been dead, adding the following: "Unfortunately the state, Justice Ministry deadlocked the problem although it was bound to solve. Citizens have the right to make proposals. They are not impositions, they are only proposals." Emphasizing that the real reason behind the death fast action was F-Type (cell type) Prisons and isolation, saying with words to the effect: "Isolation is considered a violation of human rights. The Turkish Republics would not be destroyed by 9 people."
