SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Hundreds of anti-war protesters marched and spoke
out Saturday against any possible military action in Iraq.
"We believe that this war can be stopped if the people intervene in
the political process," said Richard Becker of the International Act
Now to Stop War and End Racism Coalition.
At the San Francisco rally attended by about 500 people, participants
held signs saying, "Stop the War In Iraq" and "Stop Bush's War At Home
In Los Angeles, about 300 people marched and chanted "George Bush,
what do you say? Change regimes in the USA." at a federal building
near the UCLA campus.
"It's really wrong that we're even considering attacking Iraq," said
